We are introducing a system that will allow players to collect "points" on their accounts by doing various things like subscribing to our Youtube or following us on Twitter and then use those points to get items. Currently we will be using this to distribute our out of cycle Twitch items rather than selling them as we had previously suggested. This allows players to get what they missed before or just get them without going through Twitch.
The first version of this can be found on our accounts page here: https://accounts.klei.com/account/rewards
In the future we will update the rewards program with new ways to earn more points and pick up cool rewards they may have missed, or even possibly entirely new stuff. Let us know what you think!
I love, I mean I REALLY LOVE tiny base designs. I love that feeling that you can reach everything with tiny movements. Could you please share mini base designs of you or you found on interenter, so you could inspirate obsessed people like me.
Here is few mine that I screenshot. Also I know they are looking kind of ugly, but I'm sharing those for clearify the topic.

What's Next?
The team is continuing to do some work on content and changes before heading into a new content arc. One of our designers describes the next update as "A new biome that pops up in a couple places on the ocean. It's sort of chill... there are some water spiders." So, there's that. Which is nice. We'll have more details as we get closer to the next update. Have fun out there!
Patch Notes:
Bug FIxes
Hi all. The old topic was archived in early 2017, but I thought it'd be a good idea to bring it back. There have been a ton of content since and quite a bit of skins. Personally I really enjoyed the Victorian collection but others were good as well. Well, if you got any cool outfit sets you wish to share - post it here!
I'll start
Colonel Woodie of The Royal Canadian Regiment
Shadow smith Winona
XIX century colonial governor Wilhelm P. Higgsenburgh
Severely beaten yet still dapper Wilson
not the best character, not the easiest, just who you enjoy the most while playing don't starve or don't starve together. not much more to say. well, i guess it might be good to clarify that i mean who do you like most (playable character from the don't starve franchise)
Sup, Webber is reworked and with those news came lore so let's check it out.
1. Wagstaff. The old man strikes once again and this time he brough something to Webber's father. Either a device which could act as a portal or a caged spider (will elaborate later). Webber's comedium describes Wagstaff as an aquiantance so I guess he and Webber's dad were friends/forbidden science enthusiasts. Compedium also mentiones that Wagstaff was 'beseeching' Webber's father to help him. We do not know if Webber's dad was smart with bugs, inventiones or both.
2. The spider. Judging by purple, dark energy surrounding it I'm guessing that the thing Webber broke was a teleporter. And it just so happened that by breaking it he created a rift which spawned a spider. The energy from the rift must have combined them togerther, y'know something like when 2 characters use the same teleporter in cartoons and come out as an abomination. However if it was just a glass cage for the spider then I do not know where to purple energy came from.
3. The farmstead. Klei potrayed it pretty well referring to Webber's quotes. His father did work on alchemy engine, had a beard and kept goats (which don't appear to be related to volt goats, they looked closer to Gorge goats)
4. How he was tricked into entering the Constant. Pretty obvious, Maxwell offered a way to un-spider.
5.Father's workshop. Aside from alchemy engine and Wagstaff's gift the workshop looks pretty normal. Microscope, framed butterflies, books and terrariums. There is a picture of people on the wall but I don't think it's important. In the next scene we can see the other side of the room and it looks like there are some Wagstaff-looking cages. Perhaps he did deliver a caged spider but I still don't udnerstand the energy or why the spdier wasn't shaking the cage.
6. Webber's appearance. While Klei hid his face we know that he had big white eyes, like Wendy. He had light brownish, curly hair. The rest of his apperance is the same as in his new skin... well maybe except the scarf.
My Wagstaff senses are-a tingling
ᵂᵃᵍˢᵗᵃᶠᶠ
Klei has fueled my obsession once again.
Wagstaff pulled a spider out of the constant and caused Webber to fuse with it.
Wagstaff's goggles, the top of his lunar extractor, what appear to be lunar moths and of course an alchemy engine are in Webber's father's lab.
The compendium says:
"Once upon a time, there was a young boy who lived with his family on a small farmstead. Though they lived humbly, the boy's home was filled with love, and he grew up happy and kind. They boy might have lived contentedly for the rest of his days if not for the sudden arrival of an old acquaintance, who came to the house beseeching the boy's father for his expertise on a strange and secretive project..."
The father and Wagstaff know each other, etc.
I am very happy and satisfied with just the animation alone, but the update itself makes it all even better. Thanks Klei!
okay if we all now watched that new animated backstory for webber 6/24, but I read he was a human boy when entering the DST world being tricked by Maxwell and then eaten alive by a spider queen and then Reborn into a spider boy getting a second chance in life? so Im now confused. so does all characters backstory changes or something?
I played as reworked Webber a little bit, and there're a few inconveniences still remains in terms of utility and actual gameplay. Let me list some of those here as a constructive feedback, not an indiscriminate complaints.
1. Webber can't give switcherdoodles or hats to spider inside Webber's inventory.
2. After pick a friendly spider up and put it down, the spider will no longer be your follower.
3. The spiders will drop their hat after picked up or entering a spider den.
4. ( Might be a bug ) After befriended with spiders, if you wear a spiderhat and unequip it, the befriended spiders will immediately leave you.
5. ( Might be a bug ) Sometimes decorated spider dens become un-decorated. Seems to be related with burning or freezing status of dens.
5. Nurse spiders does melee-attack, which doesn't grant no better survivability then any other spiders.
6. Befriended spiders doesn't have health regen ability, means they'll eventually die out if you don't constantly care them. ( Some famous followers like bunnymen, beefalo, abigail regenerate their health. ) This problem can be solved if nurse spiders heal their allies outside the battle.
7. You need to feed additional meat to befriended with spiders after feeding the spiders switcherdoodles, despite every switcherdoodle are made of monster meats.
8. If you want to heal your spiders with healing glop, you need to feed it manually. If healing glop was a throwable item like napsack or water balloon, it would be much more convenient to use. It's so hard to use healing glop inside an intense battle.
9. The spiders don't follow you between forest and caves.
10. You can't feed meat to spiders when they're sleeping. Strange thing is, you can still feed switcherdoodles when they're sleeping.
11. Most of all, like the big Woby does, the befriended spiders will try to have a distance constantly with Webber, makes almost every interaction with them much, much more annoying, like feeding, giving a hat, picking them up with traps.
12. Webber still can't actively gather neutral spiders. What if... Giving webby whistle the ability to gather nearby spiders to its user? It would be a very convenient way to control spider crowd, like abigail's reel up and soothe ability.
13. My personal opinion, but what if there's an AOE item like pan flute, but works only on spiders? Like a music-box shaped item. It is a bit exhausting when you need to pick up massive amount of spiders with traps.
Okay, that's it for now. I don't tell Webber should be OP, but I think Webber lacks convenience in terms of gameplay. Wendy became most convenient and powerful character after her rework and I think one of the reason was the convenience. Obviously Webber is much more interesting now, but playing as him is not much fun as Wendy due to his uncomfortable gameplay, Webber definitely can use a hand to improve his overall gameplay.

So, in Webber Rework post developers told us a little bit about NEW CONTENT ARC. While it might be similar to Shipwrecked, i think it will be too kind of tropical experience but not the Shipwrecked integration in DST. Share your thoughts about it and expectations
Ever since the snickerdoodles have been implemented, I can't help but have some bile fascination with imaging that both Webber and Woody's items could effect the others with terrifying results.
In webber trailer, even with cover and possibly cage, it's smaller than an elder's head.
In wurt trailer, it was smaller than Webber's head.
I think it would be really cute if they would be a little smaller.
Webber is getting a rework! For those of you who didn't know, when Klei announced on the forums that EoTS was officially out, they also put in a hidden image of an animation for Webber directly after saying they were going to do a character refresh next. Jason himself even said "I lied, it's going to be awesome." So I'm excited AF for the rework. There is no doubt they will introduce new mechanics. I'm not gonna suggest major ideas for mechanics, because IDK what Klei will do, but I personally want 2 things for webber, a cheaper spider den recipe, and Webber being able to sleep in spider dens. What do you think they'll do for Webber's Rework? I'd love to hear your ideas down in the comments.

I just realized i have so many great looking skins for tools, but all of them for flint version only (there are nordic exeptions)... Why can't they be applied to both flint and golden? I stop using flint tools as soon as i get the alchemy engine, so like middle of autumn and i never see regulars tools after, unless i need to make a new thermal stone, lmao.
Bought a new Hoe skin, but realized that i will never see it, because i always use a golden one.
Ever feel that you had a question about DST but felt it didn't deserve it's own thread? Well then ask it here.
