Hi all! My previous recipe list was archived and I am no longer able to access it to upload changes to my notepad recipe cheat sheet, so I'm back again to re-submit this post. I took the liberty to also change up a few things about my last version before deciding to re-upload it; most notably putting the crock pot recipes in alphabetical order, adding a small sub-section at the bottom to list each character's favorite food, and adding a "Goodies" section that lists recipes edible by wigfrid (currently only Taffy and Jellybeans at the moment). I'll be sure to update the file as new recipes are added/changed, and as always, constructive criticism is always appreciated! I'll also be sure to add this to my signature to make coming back here easier if anyone would like to.

11/30/2020: I added the new Soothing Tea in the "special" tab, as well as adding a bunch of farming stats and crop configurations at the bottom. Thanks to @Zeklo and @QuartzBeam for the farming information that I put in it. Will update this if needed, hope this helps at all.

I'm such a huge fan of giant plants when they fully grow. But, I've notice something, most crops are giants, not all of them. 

So I was wondering if that's just temporary or intentional.

I've been thinking it's just temporary, but I've been a little worried haha.

Hey everyone! My love for designing is thriving and I've been feeling inspired lately and really wanted a place to share some of the things I've been working on. I love making shrines and designs in worlds whether it's big or small, and adding cute little details to them as well. Most of what I do isn't practical and is purely for decoration.

I was originally posting screenshots of my base on this thread: 

But I feel as though my style of basing has evolved into something that cannot be categorized as tidy and I wanted to start a different thread that was for bases/worlds more on the ornamental side like mine. Plus I feel far more comfortable and way less anxious being annoying and posting heaps on my own thread than I do spamming someone else's *nervous laugh* ^-^'

Here's a few shrines I worked on last month:

Moon Stone Shrine

Don't think I'll ever be able to do the Moon Stone event ever again because I'll never be able to get a pig so perfectly back in that spot like that ahah, worth it.

Klaus Shrine/Arena

We found every Klaus spawner and plugged them with a firepit except this one, now he only ever spawns here and we fight him on the cobble stone bit to the right. This area doubles as a shrine and a fighting arena, I love it ^-^

I like single player, have I been playing it recently? No. But this question goes for anybody, even if you don't own single player Don't starve, would you buy it for the experience/ DLC. But if you have played, why did you stop and what would make you come back?

Personally I would play more if more interesting mods were being made.

should I be having a discussion about DS on the DST forum. Maybe. But that's because it's more of a why are you playing DST and not DS type question!

With the new update being tested, I will bring my opinions on the Bunnymen nerf.

Before the update they always give 75%meat, 25%puff and 2 carrots. Now they only give 37.5% meat, 37.5% carrot and 25% puff. I know Klei wants to adjust their loot so that we need to use the farming system more to produce the carrots needed for building more bunny hutches. However  I find the nerf to be a bit too much. Reducing from 200% carrot drop rate to measly 37.5% is the first problem. Bunnymen tends to eat carrots dropped on the ground very fast, so a bunnymen farm may result in giving zero carrots, so making more bunny hutches is hard without using the farm. And yes, you can collect them before they get eaten, but misclick on meat and you become a ghost. The lower rate of dropping meat is also a problem. It makes Bunnymen a fairly bad source of food now, which makes farming them a bit boring and unworthy.

My suggestions would be:

_Slightly buff up their loot drop table, 75% meat, 25% puff, and a seperate 75% carrot drop.

_Change the bunny hutch recipe, only require 5 or 6 carrots instead of 10, given their current terrible carrot drop rate.

Hi All,

I'm seeing all these different guides to the new farming system and its a little bit confusing. I know that half the fun is figuring out what crops can combo yourself but I'd really love some help so that once the content is released on PS4 I have a goal and farm set up I'm trying to achieve so I can mainly focus on Winters Feast content once I have my farm setup. I'd love one of those self sustaining farms that people keep coming up with so I only have to water them and provide music and don't have to worries about the nutrients. I've got a stupid number of Shell Bells ready to go and should have any other required resources in bulk ready to go including malbatross bills, I'll also zip down to the ruins to make the better gardening hat if it is that much better than the normal one.

Ideally I want to grow Garlic, Chili, Carrots and Corn. Garlic and Chili for spices and carrots and corn for cooking various meals with veggies including powdercake with the corn. Asparagus, Onion and Potatoes are also great and if they work better with other veggies/more seasons or whatever that would be fine. The veggies that are most desired are Chili, Garlic and Carrots, anything else is icing on top really. I'd honestly be happy with Chili, Garlic, Carrots and one other veggie. Plenty of spices and plenty of veggies for cooking this way.

Don't care about Pumpkins and I definitely don't want any eggplants!! I play Wigfrid and eggplant is a massive meat meal killer, I honestly hate it with a passion!

Dragonfruit while nice aren't important and pomegranates and durian are also undesired. However if Pomegranates are fairly easy to grow and compliment other veggies I want they might be nice, would be good to be getting fruit as well as veggies from farming for when I do swap characters from time to time, I say pomegranates cause I'm pretty sure I read that Dragonfruit only grow well in Summer which I won't be spending at my base.

I have a large space ready to put some farmland plots in and I believe I have room for up to a 2x2 plot. If there was a way to maybe make two 1x2 plots instead that function on their own but run different veggies for different seasons that would probably be ideal. The huge plots combined look a bit big to me and I'd prefer two smaller farms if at all possible. I'd also only like to farm throughout Winter, Autumn and Spring as I spend Summers either fishing for Crumpled Packages in the Oasis or clearing the ruins and expanding my caves base. Veggies that grow throughout multiple seasons and are fairly easy to look after would be ideal so that I can essentially keep the majority of the farm going the whole year round other than summer. I want good harvests but don't need anything too crazy (I don't need like 100 Veggies every 5 days which it looks like the new system can easily provide with bigger farm plots) as I predominantly play on my own anyway.

I know this is a rather big request but if someone is messing around with it anyway and feels like helping me out it would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks in advance!

Reсent update added 2 books for Wickerbottom:

1. For "food" sources, with the limit of 10 plants.

2. For "resources" - with no limits for plants.

For some reason Stone fruit bushes defined as a "food" source so per 1 book usage u can grow up to 10 plants (for example birchnut trees defined as a "resource" so u can grow them unlimited ammounts).

Let`s be honest here: people used books to grow Stone fruit bushes for only one reason — to farm ROCKS. And latest update killed the best rock farm in the game (that can be used only in lategame).

My suggestion: tarnsfer Stone fruit bushes from "food" sources to "resources" (so they can work as twigs,grass and trees), considering following facts:

1. Stone fruits can`t be eaten directly (just like birchnuts).

2. To fully grow Stone fruit bush u need to read book twice.

3. New book resipe (2 papyrus + 1 living log) made this more "lategame" item than it was before.

4. This "farming" works good only with "sprouting stone fruits" (wich requires even more time to get").

5. Growing Stone fruit bushes via book reasonable only to get rocks or "sprouting stone fruits" (it`s obviously not food).

So, Let`s make Stone fruit bushes great again! (like/up if agree)

Thanks Klei a bunch for restocking on items for the sale! I was just gonna ask for anyone who knew as I’m aware they have constraints—about how often do these sales come about? And for anyone who has been witness to most if not all, how often do they add new products and stuff? I would go nuts if they ever made a Klaus plush

I think the current world generation model is outdated and should be improved upon, especially the way land and water are distributed..

Every time i come back to play some DST i find myself in the situation where i am generating worlds for days in order to get one that's suitable for my needs..

I have been really confused with the weird mechanics of watering plants. You can only fill watering cans with pond water, but not sea water, even though shouldn't both be viable options? It is a bit annoying to have to base near a pond just to grow crops. Not entirely sure if water balloons water plants too, but if they don't they really should. This also seems like a very early game thing to do, yet you dedicate so much time watering each patch 4 times over without a more convenient alternative past a certain point. Some automated way to do it would be nice. The ice flingomatic could provide some hydration, or better yet bring the sprinkler from Hamlet over! I long for the day you could simply set up all plants to have a Wickerbottom player grow them instantly and getting all giant ones some time later in the game to make farming less of a hassle, because right now you just have to have someone doing all the farming non stop for a great harvest. I love the new farming mechanics, but I don't want to spend that much time on so many crops. Just a bit earlier on, and then massive yields later down the line thanks to automation and magic.

In the upcoming Reap what you Sow update in Don't Starve Together, I believe there will be an opportunity to add new plants. As such I suggest to add mangoes to further enhance the farming experience. With the reworked farming introducing specialized fertilizers and plants season selectivity. I believe mangoes could be accordingly balanced and a great addition.

 

What do you think, do you think mangoes will fit?

We are introducing a system that will allow players to collect "points" on their accounts by doing various things like subscribing to our Youtube or following us on Twitter and then use those points to get items. Currently we will be using this to distribute our out of cycle Twitch items rather than selling them as we had previously suggested. This allows players to get what they missed before or just get them without going through Twitch.

In the future we will update the rewards program with new ways to earn more points and pick up cool rewards they may have missed, or even possibly entirely new stuff. Let us know what you think!

my personal favorite enemys in the don't starve franchise are the species known as POG

why do i like POGS you might ask?its because they're called POG(thats basically the only reason other than the fact that they look cute.also im not joking they actually are my favorite)

Just a quick post to share thought that I've had yesterday  

I've got an idea:
Lunar Treeguards - They could spawn in the same circuumstances as normal Treeguards and drop a new kind of "living log".

"Lunar Living Log" could be used in new recipes - new tools, armors, maybe weapons? It could open many possibilities!

Given all the Applied Horticulture debates lately I'm curious.

I don't have too many ideas myself, mostly because at this point I'm not even sure what kind of character Wicker is supposed to be. She's a librarian but her books (and Forge abilities when that was around) make her out to be something more like a witch. She's not focused on just magic though since she has the science buff and can craft things earlier than other characters. Is she a magic character or a crafting one? The only thing people seem to agree on regarding her is that her downsides are so small that they're practically forgettable.

She needs something. Some sort of change to make her more focused and more fun to play. I just have no idea what that something would be.
