• Fixed a crash when trying to catch Wobster but it lands back in the ocean.
• Fixed a bug where the Toadstool would target non-player characters to attach a Spore Bomb to.

• Crab King Claws can be frozen
• Crab King should cancel all spells when frozen and hit it the same frame.

Hi all. The old topic was archived in early 2017, but I thought it'd be a good idea to bring it back. There have been a ton of content since and quite a bit of skins. if maxwell gets the next character rework (please klei im calling out to you) i want him to function more like he does in Don't Starve, instead of needing to drop the codex he can simply read it to summon a "blank" shadow minion, blank meaning it has no role and will simply follow after the player but can be given something to give it a role, all the basic ones we have chopper, miner, digger and duelist but what if he could give them a backpack to give it the ability to carry things for you or pick things up for you (of course it'd have a filtering system so you can make it so it wont pick certain things up) and also PLEASE make it so they can wear things like miner hats or things like that or armor so duelists can stand a hint of a chance against things and please remove the broken kiting system that duelists use. what would the cost to reading it be? it should pull 2 nightmare fuel from your inventory per read and -15% max sanity for any puppet but it should have a limit to how many you can have and -5 hp upon read or none at all.
upon killing a shadow minion it should drop whatever you put on it or gave it while returning the 1 fuel.
and maybe give maxwell that +20/min sanity regen back or summin (also make it so he can make first level magic crafts or his own magic crafts because we need a magic character and he does say the shadow manipulator is his preferred work station)
what are your guys' thoughts?

So as Return of Them gets more fleshed out, and after having read ADM's theory on what may come next, it makes me wonder if there will be a boss like this.

I'm sure eventually in RoT's storyline that the celestial entities and shadows will even out in power, imagine an entity of some sort that managed to tap into both side, and intertwine them somehow.

This entity(possibly one of them?), at least within the confines of what area it is isolated to(I'd guess confined similarly to the fuelweaver), would be able to effectively render its area either like the mainland, where sanity plays, or like the lunar island where lunacy/enlightenment plays.

Basically this boss' main mechanic would be it could periodically change between shadow form and celestial form which would switch all players nearby between sanity and lunacy/enlightenment. This would not be instantaneous or sudden, it would be telegraphed by a unique animation the boss would perform, showing a firey effect on it based on what it is switching to. Shadowy flames indicate a switch from Enlightenment to Sanity, whereas Celestial flames(like gestalts) would indicate Sanity to Enlightenment.

The point of the fight would be that the player would have to play around the periodic switches in the fight, bringing items to both drain and gain sanity reliably.
It could have either a sanity aura of 400/min or insanity aura of -400/min, based on whether it is in shadow form, or celestial form.

This boss' attacks would also vary based on form, and could mess with players with low sanity or high enlightenment, based on form, similarly to how the fuelweaver mind controls low sanity players.

I came up with these thoughts after reading ADM's theories, I'm not posting this as a suggestion but moreso as my own theory, but this is moreso a gameplay theory whereas ADM was speaking about lore specifically. What are your thoughts on a mechanic like this? Discuss.

We are introducing a system that will allow players to collect "points" on their accounts by doing various things like subscribing to our Youtube or following us on Twitter and then use those points to get items. Currently we will be using this to distribute our out of cycle Twitch items rather than selling them as we had previously suggested. This allows players to get what they missed before or just get them without going through Twitch.

In the future we will update the rewards program with new ways to earn more points and pick up cool rewards they may have missed, or even possibly entirely new stuff. Let us know what you think!

The DST Skins Checklist has been designed to help you more easily keep track of your DST skins collection.  This can be done by manually checking off items or by directly syncing the checklist with your inventory on Steam.  

The layout is fairly rustic, but it lets you view, filter, and search the skins you own, have duplicates of, or are missing in the game.  All save data is stored locally on your computer (in your browser's Local Storage).

The checklist is a single HTML file (images are all embedded) and can be used online or from your desktop:

she sells seashells has been out with a new boss: crabking. but what klei didnt think of before making the crabking how completly useless he is.

the problem i have is that 1. his drops are useless and 2. his mechanics are broken beyond everything

1. crabking kiled drops nothing then just meat,shells and a blueprint for strident trident. this trident has expensive recipes with little uses. yes i know not every item is usefull but what is there to discuss about it. just useless.

what about the inactive celestial tribute? useless! going to the lunar island and doing the 3 altar idols is more better then this manure.

2. i dont know if klei actually sniffed on nightmarefuel or its the wiki all over again but i have tried it out. i have tried something that is to impossibility known to man kind in this game.

yes this is impossible since you need 9 pearls pearl but if YOU want a REAL CHALLANGE this is it.

but forget about 9 pearls pearl. why should you fight him with 1 pearls pearl and 8 iridescent gem anyways? braggin rights? perhaps. for loot? heck no.

its like enraged klaus and misery toadstool. useless and can be avoided.

Klei entertainment. you had ENOUGH time. you can do the art, you can do the lore. but you cant do the gameplay.

Does anyone know - as per title - the actual number of character's speed modifier when carrying heavy objects like Suspicious Marble pieces, Boulders, Antlion's Glass Spikes?

Is said speed modifier around 0.2x - 0.3x or lower when character carries mentioned-above objects?

And is there a difference between speed modifiers of said Suspicious Marble pieces, Boulders, Antlion's Glass Spikes, Potter's Wheel sculptures or are all the same?

As the title says, which character would you like to have in dst? Don’t Starve Together has a variety of characters, and I think it has room for more....I’d really like to see Walani and Wheeler or Wilba in dst! I feel like they would be a great addition. Also, Warbucks would be awesome to play as, since he was scratched from Hamlet, maybe Klei could bring him back in don’t starve together?

As for unimplemented characters, I think the only one who peeled my interest was Pyro, maybe a name change for the W name rule, but other than that, I’d adore to see them in the game! The tools he has, Chester, and design is interesting and maybe he could cost money like Wortox, Wormwood and Wurt.

Now I want to see what you guys have to say, I wanna hear your ideas!

Okay, dumb question ahead, so me and my friend haven’t completed the cyclum and Matheus puzzles. I don’t want the steps on how to complete the puzzle but more on how to access it. Is the puzzle in game, or do I have to go to a website? And how do I link my account it it? I really don’t know how to do it....

Hello fellow Forum Members! Those of you who've been around for a while probably remember this topic made by @MenaAthena:

It was pinned for quite a long time, however, it has been removed some time ago, I guess in the last year at some point.

I really liked the tips Mena gave, they can be the backbone of a healthy and friendly community. I (still) play quite often on public survival servers with random players of every skill level and these tips are still very actual. "Don't ask where the Base is Right After Joining" (a classic, heh ), "Don't Pick Everything", "Don't Enter in Winter or Summer" or "If you don't want Strangers, set a Password" are some of the most important and relevant ones and my favourites (in fact, there's been a rant on the latter topic on steam lately (again)).

Does anyone know why this topic got un-pinned? Maybe because it got archived? I think it is still worthy of being on the top of the general forums, so that new players can find it as well. Could we get it back in some way?

          I'm curious to hear how long everyone sets the length of their seasons.  I've always played on the standard default season length. I've been playing with my 2 daughters lately and one of my daughters wants to set Autumn to "very long".   What is your guys opinion on this and how do you play when it comes to season length?  

(Both my kids are 12. I think she just wants more time to prepare because shes prone to dying. Lol)

Just a small request, make the Crabby Hermit stop what she's doing when the player is close like the goats in the gorge. It's annoying whenever I try to buy stuff and she just walks away.

Going to google images, I noticed there's a lack of images of Caves in general. It's mainly base related if there's cave related images. Going to the caves section on the wiki, it only posts the spires.

Recently with the new update, and the addition of the clean sweeper we have the ability to change item skins. I wonder if we can also change some items that don't have skins, for example the pig village Berry Bush variant only obtainable if you have lucky on the map generation, another one is the winter lights colors. It will not affect the gameplay at all and it will make a huge diference for people who like to decorate theirs bases,
