Do you know any game mechanic that could not be very popular, you use for your advantage and could let us know?

For example: If you feed a pig x4 monster meat and kill it, you get 2x meat and 1x pig skin; two out of three ingredients to prototype hambat, also, you can repeat the process to get pig skin without destroying pig houses.

I was wondering when the event ends? All I know is the sale ends today/tomorrow but last year the event went longer than the actual skin sale.

While running through the swamp, I found this square of grass turf with savannah turf placed through out it. I've encountered this in several other worlds and It makes me wonder, does this set piece have a point?

I don't know about you guys, but I think Wilba should be added to Don't Starve Together because it has a Merm character now (Wurt)

There would be a good rivalry and memes, two enemies in the same game would be wonderful

Wx78 no longer eats Gears*

Does not feel pain * (Takes less physical damage).

Tasteless * (You do not lose the benefits when eating spoiled food, you can eat rot as if it were Wet Goop).

Permeable * (humidity deals twice as much damage as before, liquid foods will triple damage like Electric Milk, for example).

Overload * (When struck by lightning fully recovers Health and Hunger, shines and increases speed for 1 day, however it loses 50 Sanity points and 25% of maximum Sanity).

When struck by 6x lightning, your sanity meter turns completely black, preventing the WX-78 from being able to create items or prototypes if it is not close enough to the science machine or alchemy engine.

To fix this Wx78 can create a hard drive repair kit on its maintenance tab (where are all Wx exclusive items) to fix your hard drive with: 1 Flint, 1 Electric doodads and 1 Wire Hanger.

Wx78 starts with a potato.

Wx78 has a greater chance of finding the Trinkets you need.

You can make 4 energy sources to prevent Hunger, just load in your inventory, only.

Carrying you with 2 different types of batteries will cause an explosion with the loss of 200 Health points (does not affect nearby players).

Disposable Batteries (1 use only).

Potato Stack, Ingredients: 1 Potato, 2 Frazzled Wire and (1 License Plate or 1 Bent Spork). Duration 4 min (Made for immediate consumption, can be stacked up to 5, putting salt will cause an Overload as if struck by lightning.

Solar battery, ingredients: 3 Moon Shards, 2 Electric doodads and (1 License Plate or Bent Spork). Duration 3 days. (Only has effect during the day).

Rechargeable batteries (If charged before reaching 0% will no longer work).

Nitre Battery, Ingredients: Frazzled Wire, 1 Electric doodads, 1 boards. Duration 1 day. Reloaded with Nitre. (Starts unloaded).

Nightmare Battery, Ingredients: 3 Thulecite, 2 Golds, Frazzled Wire. Duration 2 ½ days. Reloaded with Nightmare Fuel. (Starts discharged, will lose -6.7 Sanity points per minute, will glow red.

Mechanical Bodies *

Wx78 can do as many as you like with: 4 Beaten Beater 3 Gears and 6 Thulecite.

Place on the floor to add 4 more Frazzled Wire (1 Bent Spork or License Plate), 2 Gears 1 and a Telltale Heart.

Initially with: Life: 71 Hunger: 100 Sanity 100

He can make 5x upgrades to increase 30 Health points, 10 Hunger points and 20 Sanity points. "Does not feel pain" this advantage is only unlocked with the latest improvement.

You will be hungry 30% faster and with each improvement, from 2% the value will be equal to the previous + 2.

Improvements are made with Gears directly to bodies when they are off.

Mechanical bodies can be hammered to pick up half the resources or deconstructed with a deconstruction staff to pick up all materials.

Radio Backpacks: 1 Wire Hanger, 2 Boards and 2 Electric Doodads. All the bodies you want to trade with must be equipped with them.

You can haunt it or teleport directly to them as a Meat Effigy.

Even when you are not in a body it will remain with the skin you put on it, for example, The Triumphant, The Guest of Honor, The Magmatic, etc. This will allow you to have multiple Wxs with different skins.

When you die you will explode, can hit players, mobs, plants, etc., and may start a fire.
Always leaving 2 ashes, or more if you burn more things.

(I propose this because Wx78 is a robot, and should no longer leave a skeleton where it dies, leaving gears or a body would break all rework).

When you are resurrected you will return with the last body you changed.

I had posted this idea before, but I thought that teamwork was missing and few people had commented... Tell your ideas, let's discuss and laugh.

Sorry I didn't mention you before, it's very tiring, I spent hours finishing the rework.

I'm not sure where this goes so please move it if this is in the wrong section.

tl;dr I was trying to put a DST server from a different computer (and different account) onto my own computer, couldn't get the files to work, so I tried to take out the extra files, somehow lost files in the existing folder so that all my servers are gone, deleted all the files cause I'm a big dumby head, got them back and I need help figuring out how to put them all back/if some of the files are missing.

The long version. I have been very sick lately so let me know if I leave anything out or anything is confusing.

About a year ago one of my brothers friends bought him a copy of DST and since it was my favourite game he let me play on it sometimes with my best friend. We have a world on there that is something like 2000 days old and has no TNT trees and no Hallowed Science Lab in it because all of those items got burned down at the beginning of us playing because we were newbs and the Hallowed event ended. Now a year later I want to put the items back in the game and I have since purchased my own computer and my own copy of DST and thus want to move the files to my pc. Two days ago I finally got around to doing it and I followed (or attempted to follow) four different set of instructions on moving the files to my pc (and like a big dumby head, I didn't make a copy of my own files on my computer).

This one I tried but is outdated, this one also didn't work, I attempted the first bit but I missed the last long bit and was too dumb to figure it out anyway, and I think that's it. So all the files got combined and I had copies of other files and I tried to copy code from one file into the other and that didn't work, so I undid the changes that I made (the specific file is called save_index). So I figured fine, whatever. But now I had copies of files amongst the other ones and it was all messy and I had mods from the one computer in the new one and it was one big giant mess. So I made a copy of these files (aha being smart!) and deleted what I thought were extra files and then booted up DST. Now all my servers were gone. SO then I took those files out of my DST folder and moved the untouched copy of files into the folder. Still no servers. How? Those files were untouched, unless the copy somehow messed it up. Now somehow I had three copies of DST saves, one from the other computer, one of the duplicates and one of the deleted. So then I went to the File Restore program and that was deactivated. I went to see if there were older versions of DST on my computer in the Properties menu (has to use that on DS once when Deerclops destroyed the Glommer statue in the world I was playing), but there was none there. So then I went to do a computer restore that said in the initial restoration that it would restore my files but when I ran it it said it didn't touch my files and indeed it hadn't and there was only one restore point, again for some reason.

So then my should was absolutely crushed and angry and I deleted all the files because I just didn't want to deal with them. As you can tell by now, I'm the queen of bad ideas. When I got over my initial anger I realised I had made a huge mistake and restored the files with Recuva. About 1/3rd of the files it found were restorable, but I thiiiink I have one of each file. I know I have the save_index file at least that has some of the info, but now the files have no folders to separate them and I don't know what files go where or how to fix this mess.

The reason why this server is so important to me because it was absolutely perfect for the playing preferences of me and my friend. The biomes were exactly where they needed to be, there were many juicy berry bushes (which at least in our experience is rare without bumping it in the settings which we didn't do, plus my friend was pretty happy to have them, even if they go bad in 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 miliseconds), there were many natural farms (or farms-ish), there was a cave entrance near our base and when going to it the ruins were close but not close enough to be dangerous. It's just sort of a rare thing that I'd rather not lose if I can help it.

If I can at least extract the seed code (or codes if the caves have a separate seed code) from the game I will be happy. If anyone feels like trying to help me solve this mess I've got myself into I would be incredibly happy (and bonus point if they could help me get the other server onto my DST account/computer if that is still possible).

So I just started Don't Starve Together again after I haven't played for a few weeks and I noticed that a lot of my Skins are missing... Actualy... Pretty much all of them.

I just added the Wurt- Bundle (or updated my "Starter Pack" because this was cheaper) and now all there is left are the ones I got with this pack. Except for some backpags and stuff but all my clothing is gone

I had tons of shirts, shoes, gloves, pants, a shadow dress, driving gloves, knucled gloves, tuxedo gloves, all sorts of awesome stuff and it is all gone. Could this new bundle be the reason and is there ANY way to get my stuff back? This really sucks....

This is kind of a lot of stuff. So hang in there with me. 

The Monster Mash:

The cold wind howls. Trees stand tall and bare, their skeletal branches silhouetted against a broken moon. Gather close children, for these are the Hallowed Nights when ghouls and monsters come out to play… and something has started watching our Survivors from the fog.

Being a young and impressionable merm, Wurt has grown quite fascinated by the Survivors and their strange ways. Bucking the usual merm tradition of simply stomping anything new and strange into the ground, she has decided to venture outside her cozy swamp to learn more about these odd scale-less beings. Perhaps this will be the start of a new chapter in Survivor-merm relations...

• Wurt can spot where danger is hiding in the swamp
• Wurt can craft the Royal Tapestry and make a home for the Merm King and his Guards:
  • The Royal Tapestry requires materials from all over The Constant
  • The Merm King provides all Merms extra strength to fight
  • Wurt must feed the Merm King to prevent him from starving
• Wurt can craft Merm Houses and Merm Flort-ifications
• She moves faster while on the swamp and can craft tiles to expand her turf
• Wurt is a vegetarian with a particular appreciation for Durians
• Wurt can craft a Clever Disguise to get other survivors to blend in with her swamp friends
• Likes to keep Pet Fish in her inventory
• Strongly dislikes Pigs
• Being wet does not affect her strong grip

What is Don't Starve Together?
Don't Starve Together is a stand-alone multiplayer expansion to Don't Starve. This is a separate game from Don’t Starve, and you are not required to own one to play the other.
 
What are the system requirements for Don't Starve Together?

Please note that when hosting a server, you'll need to ensure that your system surpasses the system requirements listed below. Clients however, should be able to join in and play on servers as long as they meet the system requirements.

There are some known issues running the game using Intel integrated chipsets (G33/G31, Q965/Q963 etc....) . If your GPU (graphics card) has the letters "GMA" in the model number, or has less than 256 MB of dedicated RAM, we are not able to support it.

Who got Don't Starve Together for free?
Don't Starve Together was added to the original purchase of Don't Starve. This means, that if you purchased Don't Starve at any time before June 3rd, 2015 Don't Starve Together was included with your purchase.

If you purchased Don't Starve Together separately before June 3rd, you were given an extra copy of the game at that time, and you will not be given another key for Don't Starve Together.

What if I bought Don't Starve before June, 3rd and haven't used my key yet?
If you purchased Don't Starve from the Humble Store, or from our website and never used your Steam key, just head over to Steam, and once you activate your key, you will find both Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together in your library.

Don't Starve Together does not have adventure mode at this time.

We have added the vast majority of the content from the Reign of Giants expansion into Don’t Starve Together.

You sure can! We're pretty relaxed when it comes to YouTube and Streaming (Twitch, etc.) permissions. That being said, it would be super cool if things linked to http://store.steampowered.com/app/322330/, but it's not mandatory.

Is Don't Starve Together coming to other platforms?

Really, in the game there is no indication that Wolfgang is an idiot: he knows how to build every single scientific or supernatural object, like any other character. You say that Wolfgang is a idiot because do he speak badly? People, he's foreign, or russian or german, of course he can't speak English well.
Because is he strong? Really we are fooled by the stereotype: strong = stupid? Come on.
But surely someone will now tell me that in a live stream the developers have said that Wolfgang is actually a crippled mind, a brain-injured man. I never really understood anything about this game :'D

(Fortunately at least we have the certainty that Wolfgang is a COMMUNIST!)

We all says give us the story of game at the end but I think they can make a cartoon movie and sharing at a premium platform like netflix or cinema maybe... They should make movie able to get watch even if you didn't played game ever. And I'm sure klei will gain players with that. Is that possible or I'm so crazy?

how often do you reroll? and why?

So, many have debated what the last new character will be. People have also called out that almost every new character so far has not been human. I asked why this was and some responded saying that a new human would not fit into the lore. Well, I bring you a human character that COULD fit into the lore, provide even more lore, and has a completely open canvas for Klei to do what ever they want with him.

Who you may ask? Well I believe it to be the Boss at the Volxola factory seen in Winona's short being sucked into the portal

We see him getting sucked into the constant, with Winona trying to save him. But she soon follows him after getting tricked by her own sister.

I have brought this up to some people, and they often say "isnt that wagstaff", and I respond to that with this:
           Wagstaff Is within the singleplayer constant, which takes place before the events of charlie taking over the throne. We see that winona goes into the constant after him after seeing charlie, meaning that this short takes place after charlie taking over. Another noticeable feature is that this person does not have the same figure as wagstaff.

The reason I would like to see this character added to DST is because... well.. we need another new human... thats my only reason tbh
I also wouldn't mind Charlie being added, much like with normal DS and maxwell.
