Heyo, I'm that guy that is totally new to this but has over three-hundred hours on DST.

Anyways, I was gonna ask the question, what is the thing you die to the most, I've died most to that scumbag, you know him right, Klaus?

Yea, I've somehow died to him like, five times, it's a very strange thing, cause I don't remember ever fighting Klaus.

Anyways just reply down there.

Hi

I'm planning to make cobblestone roads. I wonder what happens if I dig up a lot of rocky turfs. Will the biome still regenerate stones and gold rocks from the meteorite? Even if I remove a whole rocky biome?

Tasks to Do Per Day In DST

I’m still a rookie to the game but I’m learning fast thanks to the community . Most of my question alway get answered. I was wondering what to do per day in Don’t Strave Together? This is the type of game that doesn’t give any tutorial and the new player just head straight in. For newer player. This may be confusing since they may be confuse what to do. I’m on day 120+ ( my first player though that I have actually manage to survived this long ) and I seem lost as to what to do. I was wondering if someone can suggest what to do per day. Like what we are suppose to have by certain day like for example ,” You Must Explored The Whole Map By Day 40” or something like that. I’m sure this will help me and other new player as do what to do. I seen other players , the people who know what their doing is way more advanced than me in day 120+ . I know this may ruin the fun but I just want to have a clue of what we should accomplish by current day.

Thank You - Lemon

Since the first one is archived I wanted to open up a new one. I'm also already busy planning new projects and want to rebuild my base a third time. I drew out the layout for my new base and have some other plans.

Also, here is the old one for everyone to take a look. There are a lot of creative bases and projects, so it's worth visiting:

Mecha Chester form? Yay or nay

Hey everyone I hope you are all surviving in DST. I would like to know your thoughts on the Chester forms and if you guys and girls would like more of them. I would like a Kinda robot Chester that takes 9 gears to transform him on a full moon and you could use additional gears to upgrade him. I think this is a pretty cool idea and maybe every time he gets upgraded he gets more hp or maybe he can gain the ability to attack and each gear increases damage but there would be a cap to how many gears he could receive.

also if he dies he would drop 50% of the gears used on him anyway this is just a thought so what do all of you think about new Chester forms I’d like to see what everyone else comes up with.

Tips on how to be Courteous to Fellow Players

$

Now this thread is not meant to call anyone out, nor is it about venting your frustrations over mistakes noobs make. These are tips aimed more at showing ways of being considerate than improving your skill at the game.

I don't have a lot of time for playing computer games, so when I play DST I tend to hop on a random server and help out all I can before I have to leave (sometimes hosting my own server if I can't find one, which tends to be lonely), and I thought it would be nice to share ways I've found of not being a liability and not getting on peoples bad sides. I'd like to see other peoples tips too, in case there's some I've missed or just haven't thought of. So here's mine :3

  • Don't ask where the Base is Right After Joining: This one's simple, but it goes a long way in not annoying people. Now I know that when you first enter a server you want to know where you can come to at night to cook and spam the /dance emote, but be patient. If you aren't given directions or offered an escort, explore, gather some things, get your bearings. People will respect you more if you survive a few days before asking where the base is located. Who knows, you may even find it on your own!
  • Don't Pick Everything: When first entering one of the many randomly generated islands, our brains tend to immediately slip into PICK ALL THE THINGS mode, especially those of us who've spent a fair amount of time in the single player game. However, when playing in multipayer, one has to stop and think, "Hey, if I systematically pick every bit of flint, grass, twigs, and food from around the portal in a ten mile radius, then there won't be anything left for new players!" Please, be considerate. How can you expect new players to survive a few days if they can't even scrounge up enough for a torch?
  • Drop some Flint by the Portal: It's a small thing that'll help out people just entering the server. You don't even have to go out of the way to do it; if you happen to be pasing by the portal and have some flint to spare, just drop some by it, or make a pickaxe to leave behind so they can collect their own. Heck, I've heard of people making a chest by the portal containing equipment like torches, rabbit earmuffs, and pickaxes to help new players out.
  • Don't Enter in Winter or Summer: Pay attention to the day and season of the server you're joining. If you want to join in a difficult season for some extra challenge, go ahead. Just don't expect everyone to drop what they're doing to help you out.
  • If you don't want Strangers, set a Password: You'd think this one would be a no brainer, but I've heard a lot of stories of people joining servers just to be kicked the moment they enter. I assume it only happens when someone doesn't know that they can make a password for they're server, but still, it's rude.
  • Drop your Stuff Before you Leave: Before you leave a server, it's nice to drop your items on the ground so others can use them. If you're playing with familiar people on a server you know you'll be on again, you can keep your equipment. In any case it's still rude to leave with gears, a big stack of silk, or any other important items still in your inventory, selfishly taking them out of reach of the unfortunate players left on the server.
  • Keep Busy: Look around the base. Does it still need some drying racks? A crockpot? Some farms? Do the traps need to be emptyed? Are you low on wood? Look around for things that need to be done, and if you're having trouble finding something, it never hurts to ask. No one likes a leach.

I hope you enjoyed reading through my wall of text and I didn't waste your time. Feel free to post helpful tips of your own, and you might help a few people become a little more helpful. Maybe.

If you want a tldr just read the bold text.

Tournament of Starvers

$

Hi, I have had this idea for a while and now decided to post it here. It's an idea if the DST characters had a tournament like in Dragon Ball super. I don't know how much of this is possible but it would be nice to have a big pvp community event.

How it works:

We have a a few teams, the fight to the death against eachother and when 1 or more from the same team wins the tournament ends. In DBS the teams that lost got erased and the prize was a wish. You could wish for anything you wanted(this was actually a test and if you wished for a selfish thing you and everything else would get erased). The fighters were not allowed to kill anyone. They could use energy weapons but not normal weapons like guns or swords. There was also a time limit and the team with the most survivors would win if there was more than 1 team left standing.

Players are should be able to choose between different items that gives different perks before the tournament starts.

Everyone that dies gets teleported to an area outside of the arena(or becomes spectators and can see what the others are doing).

Size of teams: Unknown.

Number of teams: Unknown. I would love if there was several teams maybe 6-10 teams. Depends a lot on how many players the servers can host. I think I saw it was possible for a server to have 60 players, more?

Servers: Unknown

Cost to enter: Unknown, Free? Or maybe a cheap item

Prize: Unknown. Possible different items that each players give if it is not free to enter.

Is it going to happend: Idk. I have never seen a team based event as a pvp before. The closest that comes is The Forge but that was against bots.

Please post your ideas. Changes can ofc happen so that we can improve of this idea.

I don't know how much dmg they do with their fists but maybe make it so that they do more dmg or else it can take a really long time?

Abilitiy ideas:

Spoiler

Sanity.

Immunity towards the sanity draining ability.

Can make others insane.

Makes you stronger

Can raise everyones sanity.

Shapeshifting/2nd chance

Turn player into a pig when he dies

Turns player into a small treeguard when he dies.

Hiding

Can disguise as a plant.

Fire

X% chance to burn players you hit for a few seconds.

Immune towards fire dmg

Item Spawning

Have the ability to spawn eyeplanets on a location.

Can spawn a mandrake once after every X number of seconds. 2 min and gives less hp?

Charge

Can charge towards other players, damaging them, can only do it once every few seconds and cant switch direction while charging.

Speed

Able to run faster for a short about of time.

Able to make others slower

Steal

Can steal other players abilities

Ice/Freeze

Can't freeze

Flight

Can fly for a short amount if time.

Invisibility

Can turn invisible for a few seconds.

Can attack while invisible.

Turn others invisible if they are close to the player.

Able to see invisible players.

Teleportation:

2 types. 1 for attack and 1 for escape. The one for attack forces you to attack the player you teleport to. The escape allows you to escape to a nearby player or somewhere on the arena.

Stun/Sleep

Ability to make someone sleep for a few seconds/stun other player.

Blind

Make someone blind for a few seconds.

Character specific

Wendy being able to spawn eyeplants

Wilson able to befriend pigs.

Rules:

Spoiler

1. Spectators are not allowed to hurt or move the players and they can not say where players are.

2. No healing items allowed other than perks.

3. If you are a ghost and has not teleported to an area outside of the arena you are not allowed to do anything.

4. You are not allowed to insult other players.

5. You are not allowed to make the game lag for anyone.

(More going to be added if anyone knows more good rules)

Because this tournament idea is based on one of the tournaments in Dragon Ball Super and because someone might say what happened during Dragon Ball Super I chose to add a spoiler tag.

In order to make the game lag less it's going to be on a small world, with no or few trees, boulders etc but the arena is going to be big. I can make different screenshots of how the arena could look like.

I might have forgotten a few things.

Anyone that has any questions?

A thread like this existed before but I'm afraid it fell deep into the archive, so here is a new one. You can post funny, odd and terrible pictures that you made while playing DST.

Here are some from my collection:

Love this one because it looks like as if the third bunny from the right (not counting the bunny behind the hut) is throwing the small bunny.
