I had been leaving my ancient key near the cave entrance closest to my base. But it recently disappeared (hungry rock lobsters? Greedy moleworms?) which sucks. However, it gave me an idea. What if the ancient guardian dropped a schematic instead of a key? Hopefully if the day comes it won't require anything too crazy. I would prefer to not have have to track the oldest beard lord on a crescent moon to gather his chin fuzz. Thoughts?

[Help] Weird Connection Problem
(I don’t know where to post this, i could’t really find an appropriate place, sorry, just move this in the appropriate place if it exists)
Hello guys, after not playing for months and months, i decided to come back to see what changed, however I started experiencing a weird Connection Problem.
I can easily log with my account and join servers, i can chat and choose my character.
But when i cross the portal and enter the world, the connection drops and i can’t do anything, being forced to disconnect; the weird thing is that If i stay right under the portal i can still chat and move (i haven’t tested for a long period but at least for a little bit I can do i) but as soon as i travel like 2 meters (usually right before the green patch of the portal disappear) i get the signal of no connection, i get stuck and i can no longer chat.
I tested this on 2 different servers a Forge one and a Normal one, and i tried joining the normal one like 3-4 times but experiencing always the same problem.
I red the FaQ but the only thing i could do was to turn off the antivirus, but i kept having the same problem
Can someone help me? I would like to play again...

very slow boot up
whenever I start this game, it takes 40 seconds or more to boot up. It happens to other games too but other games take average of 10 seconds to boot up. I just got this iMac so is it because of steam running on os or? Its rather annoying

Fuelweaver health regen
I was wondering how much health regen fuelweaver can potentially get during the healing phase? I have hit him with 4 stacks of gun powder on a few different Attempts which should bring the damage well past 16000. I break the spires that grant invulnerability and more than enough time passes between blasts. Am I missing something?

Caves Bug

So I was playing on a solo server on DST as I normally would, I was a few days in, 10 or 11 and then I tried entering a cave, first of all, a black screen showed, and then it said ''Something Awry Went Wrong While Connecting. Please Try Again.'' And then, it was like that for every single one of my worlds? My friend has the same issue, but no-one else seems to, I have uninstalled all my mods, restarted my wi-fi, restarted my machine & restarted DST yet it still doesn't work, I'd really like some help as I enjoy this game a lot and wan't to play with caves, thanks ever so much.

No reason lag issue :(
Me and my friend were playing in his server for the last 2 months , without lag. We stopped playing for a while , and now , I'm the only person of the server with a unstable ping, (most of the time 350 ms). In any other server, my ping stays stable. The same for others games.I do not see any problems with my internet when I log into my friend's server. I don't know what is the problem with the lag issue , and I need help

The Beaver Isn't Fun
I've recently been getting back into DST after a hiatus, and I have to say, The Forge is an excellent event for bringing old players back. Yet, I've also been reminded of a thread I made a long time ago, which you can read here to perhaps get an idea of what this post is going to be:
Basically, the beaver isn't fun to play as. I believe this comes down to three main reasons:
- Nightmares swarm you after two minutes on full sanity, and bar you from using the swiss-multitool aspect of the Beaver.
- The beaver has 0 self-sustainability; if he gets hurt, nothing can heal him, even teammates with proper supplies.
- The beaver isn't useful to Woodie or his team. It's outclassed in every aspect of it's kit by much simpler alternatives. (Maxwell, mostly.)
Unfortunately, the beaver hasn't been touched since they changed him to have grass-level armor and semi-waterproofness, and it seems strange what once was a major aspect of Woodie was pushed into the back of the minds of everyone. DS beaver was fun to play, but certainly needed to be toned down for release in DST. However, DST beaver is useless and not fun to play as, which certainly should not be where a character stands in a game where fun is a priority. So, I think the fix is simple, remedy the three issues above, and perhaps we could actually make the beaver worthwhile, because where he stands right now, he just isn't. There were some good ideas in the old thread, and Rezecib came out with his rebalance mod since then which makes the beaver more interesting as well, so we have a well of ideas to use, along with whatever can come of this thread. Changes I suggest after extensive playtime as the beaver:
- No insanity drain. Literally remove this and Beaver becomes much more fun off the bat. It's not that Nightmare creatures are hard to fight, it's that they're too annoying and disallow you from getting anything done, not to mention that in winter werebeaver vision + snow = barely visible Shadow Creatures.
- Let him regen a bit of health in Beaver form from eating wood items, perhaps a percent of gains in the beaverness bar?
- Improve his use as multiool somehow. Make it worse than Maxwell with his clones, but in turn it's more accessible.
Basically, all I want is if the good folks at Klei have some time between Forge and the next event, I think this is worth looking at. Not to mention the other characters who still need tweaking (Willow), but please, consider revisiting the beaver mechanic and actually making it fun to use. I'd also like to see if the current opinion still supports this, so I've put three question up top to mull over should you want to answer them, it'd help. But for my opinion, I feel that Klei needs to make the beaver great again, after such a large fall from grace.

Question about Grass Gekko spawning
Is it possible for me to make a grass gekko farm by building two cages slightly far away from each other , then planting a bunch of grass tufts in one cage and use Applied Horticulture as Wickerbottom and pick the grass? And if so could i keep using Applied Horticulture every time i harvested all of it. Will the grass gekkos spawn if i do that?

Toadstool post gun powder update
So I recently went to fight toadstool (regular not misery) and after 264 gun powder, with appropriate staggering in between, it did not die. After that I used up a dark sword on it and it still did not die. During the process I alternated pan pipe and ice staff so it never got a chance to use skills. Have they raised the health or something?

Digging up Deciduous Turf
Hello!
As i found out recently deciduous turf (the one in the beech tree forest) behaves differently when picked up with a pitchfork than the others. The others are picked up in a nice square but this one get's kinda ragged. So when i tried to put a nice floor in my base, well there is ragged pieces of floor sticking out of the walls and deciduous turf inside my walls. Is there any way I can make this turf behave as the other? Is there a mod? Is there something in the gamefiles i can change? This is driving me nuts but completely moving my base (which is at day ~120 so has grown quite a bit) seems a bit daunting..

The current state of willow in dst
I feel like in singleplayer dont starve willow is a pretty ballanced character, going insane has its risks but if you plan for it you are able to do it safely and farm some nightmare fuel however in dont starve together going insane as willow just feels unfair, you arent able to farm nightmare fuel well and it can literally kill you, is klei going to continue making rebalances, if so i hope they will tweak willow a bit so that she still has a downside but one that is, like it is in base game something you can prepare for.

DST has a core problem.
Don't starve together feels just terrible to play due to having lag compensation that causes you to get hit when you shouldn't have been hit, or causing you to miss when you should not have missed.
Disabling this causes the game to have awkward delays in every action, moving from Singleplayer to DST was so tedious that I just don't play it because of that.
Why can we not have crisp and responsive movements? Look at Minecraft, Terraria or WoW. All of these game have crisp movements without any lag compensation or delays like in DST, and they are all bigger games.
For crying out loud, if you somehow manage to fix this I will be able to buy and play DST with my friends already.
