Is there a Don't Starve Together Server Manager?

Hey! We played the original game on our ps4, and just bought Don't starve together for our gaming pcs.

 

I've run servers for 7 days to die and for Ark, and downloaded the server tool from steam for DST.. is there a recommende dserver manger? Ususally we run the server on one of our pcs here on our network, and then connect with our gaming pcs.

 

(We also occasionally have a few friends connect remotely to join our games.)

 

Any links or tips would be appreciated!

If I am not mistaken, we need a stack of 3 walking cane to complete the puzzle. It would be the middle item at the top from the 2x3 grid.

so, i was doing DST on a mac, and i have no idea where to find the file to manipulate to turn the console on.

Pause Button

I think DST really needs a pause button. I understand that pausing could be potentially frustrating for people playing along w/ you, but I feel like that wouldn't outweigh the amount of frustration caused when I need to exit the world just to get up to use the bathroom or something. I guess that Klei could always implement a team vote pause or unpause, or maybe just make it an option when you start the world, so people know what they're getting into the server when they join. Idk, but seriously we need a pause button.

I remember hearing about them for a while and i saw all of the skins icons and they all look amazing and beautiful but then they never got added to the game, are they still in progress or were they regionally exclusive or something, i'm just curious as to what happened to them bc i haven't seen anyone showing them off since like last year but they are easily my favorite skins so far.

Updating Grass Gecko spawner

In my mega base world I finally got grass geckos to spawn , the only problem is they keep trying to run back to the place they spawned. I teleported them into a pen but it just looks weird with all of them just running up against the pen. Am I going to have to chase them one by one similar to goats ? Thanks

Joystick compatibility for gamepad

Hello everyone. I just got a Logitech g13 gamepad and I couldn't make the joystick work for DS or DST. I would like to know if that is possible since the game does give support for controller such as Xbox.999999-97855053893_1.jpg?odnBound=460

About a year ago, I posted an an idea on the forums about a Saxton Hale style gamemode where one player would play as a boss character and others would have to fight him.  You can read the post here:

Well, I can now proudly say that the mod has become a reality!  Currently in early alpha is a version of the mod which contains many of the components I intitally planned to be in the mod with more on the way, which you can view on the Workshop here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1199711719&searchtext=

Now that it exists in some form, I wanted to come here to ask about ideas that anyone may have to really make a "Players Vs. Juggernaut"-style gamemode work in DST, and perhaps see if people would still be interested in it.  I've noticed a considerably lacking amount of custom gamemodes in DST modding, and this is something I've wanted to do for quite some time now to perhaps spike some interest, so I'm happy to finally make it real and if you have any feedback on things I could try to adjust or add, I hope you comment.  Anyway, thanks for reading!

I want to buy a laptop, and I already have a list of the laptops I could buy with the characteristics I need.

Still, I'm not pretty sure how will work the game with the ones I have in mind, It may help if you tell me about your laptop:

*What brand and model is it.

*What CPU model it has.

*What frequency the CPU has.

RAM

*And how the game runs in the laptop you described.

*I really need to know these, more than the rest. Thanks!

The Forge - Hidden Pugna poster

Hey guys, why does Pugna have a poster of what looks like another Pugna right above his shoulder? Can't really see who it is exactly, but they both look like the same belt...

Characters and their Hallowed Nights skins

Am I the only one who thinks that most of the characters have unfitting skins for the hallowed nights? Personally, I think that:

Wilson should be Mactusk since he kinda comes off as the guy who hunts foxes just for fun.

Wolf should be pig guard because of his MIGHTY-ness.

Wendy could basicallly be anything that attacks in groups (Goose/Goose, Hounds, Varg, etc.) but her current outfit works fine. 

Wicker could be a Ewecus because shes old and wrinkly lol please don't End is nigh me.

Wiggy could be the Bee Queen since she seems so interested in Queens and such

And lastly, Winona could be the Ancient Fuelweaver because of lore.

I mean, these suggestions are just what I personality think make sence in terms of Lore, apperance, and playstyle. Though the the skins as of right now still (and always!) will look nice.

Some info about items rarity:

Common: 212 - 53%

Classy: 96 - 24%

Spiffy: 63 - 15,75%

Distinguished: 26 - 6,5%

Elegant: 3 - 0,75%

1 chest value: 167,2 spools. It means you'll get 167,2 spools after unraveling average chest content

50 chests value - 8360 spools = spools ou get by unraveling 13$ set

So, 50 chests cost = 13$

1 chest cost = 0,26$

Hi guys,

My friend and I, are pretty new players on DST, we made 3 games in 7 hours (Survival and Endless mode). We died at days 15-20-23, but we didn't earn any experience point on our DST profile, on the main menu, is that normal, or we did something wrong ?  (we also use modes in our games, does that influct ?)

The Beaver Isn't Fun

I've recently been getting back into DST after a hiatus, and I have to say, The Forge is an excellent event for bringing old players back.  Yet, I've also been reminded of a thread I made a long time ago, which you can read here to perhaps get an idea of what this post is going to be:

 

Basically, the beaver isn't fun to play as.  I believe this comes down to three main reasons:

- Nightmares swarm you after two minutes on full sanity, and bar you from using the swiss-multitool aspect of the Beaver.

- The beaver has 0 self-sustainability; if he gets hurt, nothing can heal him, even teammates with proper supplies.

- The beaver isn't useful to Woodie or his team.  It's outclassed in every aspect of it's kit by much simpler alternatives.  (Maxwell, mostly.)

Unfortunately, the beaver hasn't been touched since they changed him to have grass-level armor and semi-waterproofness, and it seems strange what once was a major aspect of Woodie was pushed into the back of the minds of everyone.  DS beaver was fun to play, but certainly needed to be toned down for release in DST.  However, DST beaver is useless and not fun to play as, which certainly should not be where a character stands in a game where fun is a priority.  So, I think the fix is simple, remedy the three issues above, and perhaps we could actually make the beaver worthwhile, because where he stands right now, he just isn't.  There were some good ideas in the old thread, and Rezecib came out with his rebalance mod since then which makes the beaver more interesting as well, so we have a well of ideas to use, along with whatever can come of this thread.  Changes I suggest after extensive playtime as the beaver:

- No insanity drain.  Literally remove this and Beaver becomes much more fun off the bat.  It's not that Nightmare creatures are hard to fight, it's that they're too annoying and disallow you from getting anything done, not to mention that in winter werebeaver vision + snow = barely visible Shadow Creatures.

- Let him regen a bit of health in Beaver form from eating wood items, perhaps a percent of gains in the beaverness bar?

- Improve his use as multiool somehow.  Make it worse than Maxwell with his clones, but in turn it's more accessible.

 

Basically, all I want is if the good folks at Klei have some time between Forge and the next event, I think this is worth looking at.  Not to mention the other characters who still need tweaking (Willow), but please, consider revisiting the beaver mechanic and actually making it fun to use.  I'd also like to see if the current opinion still supports this, so I've put three question up top to mull over should you want to answer them, it'd help.  But for my opinion, I feel that Klei needs to make the beaver great again, after such a large fall from grace.

  • Fixed animation bug when using Step Dance emote while mounted.
  • Fixed animation bug when reading The End Is Nigh: Gilded Edition.
  • Fixed animation becoming frozen sometimes while opening chests in the Treasury.
  • Fixed issues causing Weaving items to fail unexpectedly.
  • Added more detailed messages explaining errors while purchasing items in the Shop.
