Need help with moon stuff
The recent edition of lunar stuffs are really cool. However I find it too difficult to manage to do moon stuff. Whenever I try to sail across, either I forget very important stuff behind or die at the middle. I barely manage to travel across the seas to the moon island but again the return trip is game over for me. Please help me answering the following questions to me, considering I am playing Wilson and I'm doing it solo.
1. First, what season or what day is the best to initiate the exploration?
2. How do I configure by boat (What things should I build on it?)
3. What items do I need to bring?
4. How do I manage my health, sanity and hunger in my trip?
5. Finally, if I do manage to find lunar island, what are the things should I do?

Is Bernie good enough?
First of all this topic is to know more opinions about Bernie, what you usually do with it, and discuss. Please don't kill me.
The Wendy rework and the new character Walter show me how characters can interact with their companions, Abigail defending her sister and Woby being a good boy... I mean Wobi is a fusion of Chester and beefalo. Wedy use power ups on her sister and Walter feed his dog. I know that Woodie and Lucy exist but Lucy is an Axe, and this is for another topic.
For my Bernie works like a Nightmare Fuel-Machine, I know that it can provide you a little sanity and warm, save you from Shadow Creatures and it "can" attack other enemies but if there is more shadows coming Bernie just die quickly. And if you are not crazy but near to die Bernie can't help you. Maibe for the next QOL add that if Willow is with 20 hp or less Burnie grows like actually do with the sanity sistem, or looks too OP? What do you think?

Stuff to make the characters feel alive
Survivors should have features that make the feel alive, such as the favourite foods every character now has. A feature they could add could be like, each survivors has a couple of "Best Friends", like one of Wurts best friends could be Wickerbottom, and some characters, like WX-78 could have no friends, and others, like Wormwood, would consider everyone best friends. This would not only just be something in the compendium, but each survivor could lose extra sanity from seeing their best friends dead, or some other effect

Cross platform play
It would be really cool if you could make a cross platform availability.
Because I know that mods cause problems on consoles, maybe there could be a little box.

What would you do....
I recall the days in which I would constantly play with thirst mods in DS, they were neat I suppose, but I don't think they really added too much to the overall gameplay loop.
How would you feel if such things as a thirst meter were added into the game? Do you think such a thing could be added tastefully?

Character specific Ruins/Lunar items
Seeing Walter's cursed rounds gave me an idea, what if other characters had exclusive Ruins items? It would encourage more characters outside of the typical WX-78's to brave the depths to gain a new tool in their character's arsenal. This idea could also be applied to the Lunar Island as it would encourage more characters to go there outside of your local Canadian. This could be unbalanced in a few ways, but if done well I feel like it would be a nice way to add a little more to each character, and encourage more players to find and explore these areas. What do you think?

What new skins would you like to see in the game?

I was impressed with Twitch's new shadow manipulator skin this month (AUG20) is really a very beautiful skin, but this is already the third skin of this same item and they are all as beautiful as, the point I want to get is that there are items and structures in the game that would be more than welcome new skins.

End is Nigh book as a light source
Wickerbottom's End is Nigh! book is usually used to charge WX-78, but I recently found a great use for it when paired with lightning rod or mast upgraded with lightning conductor (I'll call both rod from now on for simplicity). Rod can accumulate charges which means the more lightnings have struck one the longer it will stay charged. While charged, rod emits light within 1.5 wall units. Each lightning adds 3 days of light to amount of charges.
Now to the book - each End is Nigh! book can be used 5 times. Each time it's used, it creates 16 lightnings, all of which will target rod if there's only one in proximity. This means the rod will be charged for 16 * 3 = 48 days with just one use of the book and 240 days for a whole book! No other item in the game can provide light for that long.
While all of this might not sound good due to small light radius, on a boat you can't really do much during night without moggles and need light source mostly to avoid attacks from charlie. Further more, fuel supplies are limited and barely renewable during boat trips, so light source that lasts this long is a good option. Just ask your friendly neighbor (or participant of the tour) Wickerbottom or Maxwell (who can read her books too) to read a pretty red book to forget about light for almost 50 days. Or even more if the book is used several times, as the charges seem to stack indefinitely.
Also, unlike lightning rods, masts occupy almost 0 space and can be placed very close to existing structures. I've attached an example of "Night Chef" setup - charged mast provides enough light to cook crock pot dishes during the night (ice box is also accessible).

What’s the dumbest way you’ve died in don’t starve?
I have a few.
This first one is in one of my first winter’s. My friend and I were playing as Wendy and there were Pengulls very close to our base. I thought that they’d give us good loot and tried to rile up Abigail. I’m on Xbox and really close to our firepit (no thermal stones yet) and added Abigail as fuel, tried to kill the pengulls ourselves, and died.
Another time was when I was playing as Wurt and with a Webber and looked for a place at the swamp where we could build our base and checked a map for a second right next to a hidden tentacle. Died to the tentacle. Webber was killing spiders for glands, tons of tier 2 dens and died to spiders.
AND another time the same friend as in my first story played as Wormwood and I played again as Wendy. It was night time and my friend had a befriended bunnyman from our bunnyman farm. I had really low health and was going to starve so instead of getting the veggies Wormwood planted, I decided to get meat of the ground to cook it COMPLETELY FORGETTING THAT THE DARN BUNNYMAN WAS RIGHT THERE! We had enough and Wormwood suicided to spawn to another world (we forgot rollback existed)

Chinese Horoscope Events

Originating from China, the zodiac and its variations remain popular in many Asian countries, such as Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand." (Thanks Wikipedia)
DST also features the Chinese Zodiac in events, having every year a featured animal (or monster). It all started in 2017 with the correspondant chinese animal (Rooster= Gobbler). The Varg followed, then Pig King and now (2020) Carrat (Year of the Dog, Pig and Rat respectively in the Chinese Zodiac).
Since i enjoy these thematic events so much (and particularly love the Chinese zodiac) i can only wonder if these events will continue as a tradition every year. Personally i would love it to, but i know this can be hard since there are some animals that are not yet implemented in the game, or at least i can't think of as the Zodiac counterpart (Tiger, Horse).
What in-game animals/monsters do you think can take the place in future events? Which skin ideas would you like to be implemented respecting this thematic oriented events? My wild guess is next year it might be Beefalo's year, since 2021 is the year of the Ox.
Disclaimer: never played other DS game. This is a DST thread because i do not know what other mobs can be found in Hamlet or SW and don't know if these events are also available on that games.

I need to ask this sadly i already bought skin packs (which costed me around 30+ in our country currency) that i like for this game but there is single few others on other packs i want and single head skin i want
Gotta say i hate this i wish skins you get for free was only salvageable (no trading or selling) so i didn't have to worry about getting banned or worse
