With the update of the characters' favorite foods, the question arose because the durian does not have better values, I say that wurt has a 33% bonus when eating fruits and vegetables, then following the durian logic we would have 33 + 15 = 48 or 40 + 33% = 53 I'm just saying it would be a good idea to leave it as the second option, since the pumpkin beats the durian in all respects, so this could stand out more if you play with wurt
It's just a little detail but I wanted to say it
(I am using the Google translator, so if something is strange it is because of it)

Now, I know this is probably the most first-world problem thread I’ve ever made, but it’s something I wanted to bring-up.
Character skins come too little. The only time we seem to consistently get new skins is during Halloween, Christmas, and Lunar New Year. The exception of course is when a character is reworked/refreshed, and get 1-3 skins alongside their release.
We use to have the Verdant skinline, but it seems like production for them has stopped. We also had the Guest of Honor, Survivor, Roseate, and Shadow collection of skins for each of the original survivors and Winona.
So it makes me wonder, why hasn’t klei done more skins for characters? It seems like a good way to make profit for all the free stuff they’ve been giving away lately, and it would be cool to see new themes arise, like Lunar Mutations for the monster cast of survivors.
why did i get attacked by a Wee Mactusk?
how did it attacked me?
where did the attack come from?
i haven't known the Wee Mactusk can attack me...
i'm pretty sure there was no other mactusk around me.
I started this thread back in 2016 as a time waster to catalogue every single skin in DST. Since then I've been revisiting this thread and adding more and more as DST's skin system grew ever bigger into the behemoth it is now. It's now 3 years later and I'm still at it!
As of March 2nd, 2019, this thread has now been added as Featured! Thanks Joe!

So a certain youtuber who often incites my eyerolls dropped a new video today basically saying tanking dfly is the only way to play against her, and that she is the hardest boss in the game to kite. Being ever critical of bad information I had to drop a reply. Not only is she not the hardest boss in the game to kite, but it is kinda foolish to tank so much damage when a little kiting practice makes the fight pretty safe...
Anyway so in response to the adhominem from the person I did this quick recording. I don't choose to be a content creator because I'm very bad at it, but maybe I could do better. Are there any freewere programs for video editing? Is it difficult to learn? I'm not an artistic person so I don't have much experience with them, but as a developer I feel I could learn quickly.
Do you think we still need content like this for DST?
After weeks of personal work, I have finally finished my own version of a "Crockpot Recipe Resource"! Usable in both the notepad app on Windows or as a Word Document. I wanted to share these on here because I thought others might find it useful on a whim, and to see what you guys think of it.
Notepad version:
Crock Pot recipe reference sheet.txt
NOTE: I removed the Word format version because it was both inaccurate and did not seem nearly as popular by both the community and myself to be worth altering. If someone really wants it, I can add it back up again. On top of that I have changed a few things from the original:
Hello fellow Forum Members! Those of you who've been around for a while probably remember this topic made by @MenaAthena:
It was pinned for quite a long time, however, it has been removed some time ago, I guess in the last year at some point.
I really liked the tips Mena gave, they can be the backbone of a healthy and friendly community. I (still) play quite often on public survival servers with random players of every skill level and these tips are still very actual. "Don't ask where the Base is Right After Joining" (a classic, heh ), "Don't Pick Everything", "Don't Enter in Winter or Summer" or "If you don't want Strangers, set a Password" are some of the most important and relevant ones and my favourites (in fact, there's been a rant on the latter topic on steam lately (again)).
Does anyone know why this topic got un-pinned? Maybe because it got archived? I think it is still worthy of being on the top of the general forums, so that new players can find it as well. Could we get it back in some way?
I'd love to hear the reasoning behind your choices! (if your choice isn't too obvious, that is)
Hey everybody. Just taking a moment to check-in and update you all with the roadmap for 2020.
Please note that roadmaps are provided to give the community a sense on what we are working on and what is driving our decisions for what we are focusing on in the coming year. None of this is a promise or a guarantee. We always prioritize quality over deadlines and all dates and timelines are estimated to the best of our current ability. Many long time fans will know that we often add new things to these plans which often shifts things around a bit, so it is recommended to avoid scheduling your vacation plans around our dates.
This roadmap is subject to change at any time, but as we have done in the past, if any of this does change significantly we will post new information as we have it.
A quick recap of 2019.
2019 was a fantastic year for DST. We added four new characters to the game and we refreshed three more characters. We also had three substantial content updates with Return of them: Turn of Tides, Salty Dog and Hook Line and Inker. We also saw big updates to our holiday events Hallowed Nights, Winter's Feast and Year of the Carrat. During all of that we hit our highest player concurrency record back in April (during a free weekend) and after that craziness had stabilized we just saw our second highest concurrency last week.
For those of you who aren't super into numbers, what that means is that Don't Starve Together is still growing quite nicely. This is also a clear indicator that our plan of character refreshes, content updates and new characters has been working to help keep a healthy community and continues to keep the game interesting for new and returning players.
On that note, we're still very aware that many people want to see events like The Forge and The Gorge come back. While we are not prepared for that right now, we do understand that this is something many of you are interested in and we are still discussing ways to address this in the future.
ReForged and Re-Gorge-itated are both super good so until we have something new we want to contribute, you should check those out.
Re-Gorge-itated: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1918927570
ReForged: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1938752683
Oh, and not for nothing, we took great strides in console support. We didn't always hit the mark, but most everything we can control directly has been working out quite well over the past year or so. We will continue improving console support as best we can through 2020.
What we're doing in 2020
We're going to continue with generally the same plan as last year. More character refreshes and content. However, at this time we aren't going to commit to a specific number of new characters. While the new characters were very well received and successful in selling well enough to help fund development we also don't want to add new characters just for the sake of it. With that being said we are currently in the process of creating at least one entirely new character for the future and we will have more information about them as we get closer to release.
For our update timeline, we expect that we will have something being launched at least once a month. We don't want to do more updates in a shorter period of time so we can be sure the updates are more substantial and interesting. Depending on how that lines up we may see a couple updates during some months and sometimes we may go a little past a month for the next update, but our goal is that you have something interesting to look forward too at least once a month.
Our first character refresh is a bit of a secret at the moment - but you might be able to guess. You will be seeing more info about that during the first or second week of March. For now, enjoy this small teaser from the update trailer we are working on.
Lore. Yep. I said Lore.
Something we know everybody wants is more lore. I am not going to say much more for now. But we know you want more lore. It would be smart from this point on to get back into scrutinizing things we put out for secrets. Not everything, but keep your eyes open. Not this post though. There are no secrets in this post. So scrutinizing this post would probably be a waste of your time. Probably. (But really, there is nothing to find here. You'll know when there is something to be found.)
While Maxwell enjoyed hiding little secrets for you to find and seemed to bask in your attention, Charlie has been quite content to work from the shadows, planning and patiently working to put her pieces into play. Things will become much more apparent as her plans become to take shape and she finally takes center stage.
The other stuff.
We're also going to continue doing other cool new things. We really want to work on Klei Rewards more and streaming items have been really popular so we're thinking of new and interesting things to do with these while continuing to support them throughout the year.
And finally.
We're also aware than some players would like us to make more substantial changes to the overall base game of Don't Starve Together and change things up a bit. While this is not a focus right now, we do understand this is something that is being discussed and I invite you to continue those conversations. Don't Starve Together isn't going away any time soon, so keep it coming.
All of your feedback really helps us figure out where we want to put our resources and it goes a long way in helping us decide which direction to steer the ship. You're all a huge part of the growth of DST and we couldn't have done it without you. Thanks for hanging out with us and sharing your fun stories and interesting ideas. Please keep sending us your thoughts and feedback and we'll keep trying our best to build the world of Don't Starve Together in new and interesting ways.
Have fun out there!
Wilson, being a Gentleman Scientist, having experience experimenting with blood and animals etc., should be able to do deal with the Disease situation in DST. Disease in DST is very annoying to deal with properly, and is outright disabled in most megabase Worlds. With Wilson being able to remedy this, Disease as a proper game mechanic will only get stronger.
p.s. This is just too on topic for the global situation for it to not happen.
p.p.s. Wilson had better healing powers in The Forge; maybe he can do the same for plants, too!
Hi all. The old topic was archived in early 2017, but I thought it'd be a good idea to bring it back. There have been a ton of content since and quite a bit of skins. Personally I really enjoyed the Victorian collection but others were good as well. Well, if you got any cool outfit sets you wish to share - post it here!
I'll start
Colonel Woodie of The Royal Canadian Regiment
Shadow smith Winona
XIX century colonial governor Wilhelm P. Higgsenburgh
Severely beaten yet still dapper Wilson
Don't Starve Shipwreck has Rawling, a mysterious ball you can find in far ocean if you explore enough which talks (like Lucy). The best part is you can throw the ball and have fun (+1 sanity)! Playing a ball is totally a Together thing, so it would be so awesome for Wilson to bring his Wilson (ehem, Rawling)* to the Constant, organize his fellow Survivors, and make the surviving a little more enjoyable. Imagine we can even do Volleyball matches or something.
* Rawling is Wilson, you know.
I need tentacle spots but don't have a reed trap.what should I do?
So I had an idea which I am sure is not an original idea for the game but here it goes.
The idea has sort of came from playing a ton of Minecraft Dungeons lately and since then I started to wonder how it would be for DST to copy the same sort of thing. Feel free to tell me your honest opinion but I think it would be pretty fun.
I am not sure if Klei themselves or a mod maker would want to do something like this but here is my idea. The world would generate with the over-world (Upstairs) being a small area enough to gather basic resources Torch, Armor, Spear all of which are on one single starting pillar. You enter into the Underworld (Caves) directly into the atrium.
Once you get in the Atrium or something like it, you are forced to fight your way through the barriers and forced to defeat mobs, bosses, etc in order to continue further. You gain more resources by killing mobs and continue through the map until you reach the final boss.
Upon defeating this boss the world gets harder and harder until you are fighting bosses each step of the way.
Obviously this is just an idea but I think it would be awesome to see something like this be made. I do not think it would be too complicated to get made or develop I just wanted to find out what everyone's idea or opinion on it was. I hope that some mod makers or even Klei themselves get a chance to view this thread and think about it because I think it would offer a huge game changer for DST and how it performs.
It would give players who are looking to compete for best times, most levels cleared, 100% runs, etc with each other.
Let me know what you think :)
