Introducing, Klei Rewards
We are introducing a system that will allow players to collect "points" on their accounts by doing various things like subscribing to our Youtube or following us on Twitter and then use those points to get items. Currently we will be using this to distribute our out of cycle Twitch items rather than selling them as we had previously suggested. This allows players to get what they missed before or just get them without going through Twitch.
The first version of this can be found on our accounts page here: https://accounts.klei.com/account/rewards
In the future we will update the rewards program with new ways to earn more points and pick up cool rewards they may have missed, or even possibly entirely new stuff. Let us know what you think!

Interesting details with characters in animated shorts!
So long story short, in the newest animated short for hook line and inker, @kiwikenobi (thanks for the inspiration to make this!) made a discussion about how happy Wilson was in the new short. I noticed Klei might have been hinting off detail about the characters we might not have noticed in the animations so I'm going to put some I haven't noticed here! If anyone else found anything else, put it here!
Hook, Line, and Inker(Wilson detail):
Most of the other trailers show Wilson going through constant agony and getting pushed around by every single thing in the constant, but he's genuinely happy and having fun fishing, it's also interesting that Wilson is doing another hobby besides Science he's not fishing for any experiment or "pet" to use as a lab rat(I'll get to my specific use for that word later), but right now, he's just honestly doing it for fun you can tell he was looking forward to this by his little outfit and how ready he was (Wilson takes a breathe to smell the fresh air in the beginning)! Its kinda cute seeing development in Wilson's character from some creep in a lonely cabin mixing up liquids and experimenting on animals to this new person in the constant!
Monster Marsh (Ms Wickerbottom detail):
(Ok This was some Detail I wanted to tell to the whole world when I noticed this first off before I start whoever animated this, deserves a hug, cause this one moment is powerful great job to them! I really wanted to see who animated this part on the twitch livestream but they skipped it so I got upset.) Back to the actual topic... During the scene while Wickerbottom scares webber and wendy. Before they get chased by the merms collecting behind the three Wickerbottom gives off a small laugh and it's absolutely AMAZING detail in character showing that Wickerbottom enjoys company around children.
This could possibly even lead back to Wickerbottom's life before the constant where maybe in the library she worked at, she read stories to the children there so sometimes she likes to sort of scare/suprise the children. This even shows evidence in Wurt's quotes for Wickerbottom when she asks her to read her a story! Wickerbottom is great with children and they enjoy her company.
Forbidden Knowledge (extra Wilson facts):
I'm adding this as the last part just because this ONE part was some thing I noticed in this trailer that I always wanted to talk about with someone but never really found the times in the forums to, but if you look in the right corner sometimes, there's just some random skeleton "chained" up in the corner 
Whether its real or not I tried to look around in the video and only noticed earliest it showed up after Wilson gained his forbidden knowledge, it also dissapears some times in the trailer(next image shows an example)so either he saw Maxwell's lanky puppet form and tried to model a skeleton after him(looks too lanky and way more realistic than Wilson to be based off a human his size), or Wilson might just truly be more of a "mad' scientist then we thought he was. The second detail I noticed is that Wilson has lab rats.
This doesn't really seem important to note but I noticed he doesn't really treat his animals too kindly, especially the case with the duck in his character portrait

So, Wilson might have done alot of studies with animals maybe biology or biochemistry, hopefully he treats his animals better though once the characters get out of the constant. >:/

Need Help
Gday, ive had this issue go on for over a year and i dont know how to fix it. I have not been gaining tiwtch drops even though i have been watchin twitch for a fair whack. Also my account is bugged or something because i got no clue how to change my name and when i linked steam account it did not change my name. And yes i am 100% sure this account is connected to twitch.

Why are the devs silent about curio collector?
He's a existing character who's out of sight unless you know where to look. Yet lore wise, when I try to ask about him, there's radio silence. Can't help but wonder if they have big plans for the character.
I remember that one time Sudura told me about the curio collector update where you could trade in chests but the devs said that mechanic was dropped, despite the dialogue changed him from being a Tom Waitsy chill country man to some erudite gentleman... Just something suspicious.

Three weeks ago, in the official DST Discord, JoeW revealed that two shorts are currently in production. One is presumably for the next character refresh, but the other "has nothing to do with content or refresh".

A thought I had
So oddly I imagined what might happen once everyone in the constant is free... Either 1. Them waking up like it was just all a bad dream. 2. Them coming to our time in 2020 to only wish to go back.... Or 3. Them actually enjoying our time without any penalty of how long they've been gone for... Which is 40 years.

Just bought this, been playing for a couple weeks. Today I start playing and the World servers i created are gone. When I start a new game, they do not save. Please help, why are my worlds not saving?

Why are Pigs attacking me for no reason?
So, I was playing DST as Woodie, and I was going though a pig village, I had no weapons and I wasn't being hostile, but all of the sudden the pigs started saying 'Come over here' or 'No, come over here' and they would start hitting me whenever I was in close range. That's never happened before, and it was kinda freaky.
The only reasons I can think they would do that was because my mental health was low. Is that why or is it something else?

New creatures
Just a lil spice to the game and make every day less the norm.
First idea - big bad wolf more pig houses in the same biome area makes a better chance of spawning. He spawns more in forest. Destroys any pig houses and eats the pigs if u dont want no pig skin better save em.
Second -skitter squid troop not really a new creature but still cool. Wander on land in a pack of 15 - 20 kills pigs, spiders, and ur precious fridge.
Third - gem spider comes from queens and dens. Like a spitter spider but shoots fire, ice, destroys stuff(green),teleports(orange and purple),and yellow same as red. Has around 500 hp.blue gem has 50% defence. Red sets you on fire. Green when low hp will deconstruct your weapon once. Purple and orange will teleport you.
So this is just some ideas for creatures / gang of said creatures.

Decorations, Shrines and Base Designs
Hey everyone! My love for designing is thriving and I've been feeling inspired lately and really wanted a place to share some of the things I've been working on. I love making shrines and designs in worlds whether it's big or small, and adding cute little details to them as well. Most of what I do isn't practical and is purely for decoration.

But I feel as though my style of basing has evolved into something that cannot be categorized as tidy and I wanted to start a different thread that was for bases/worlds more on the ornamental side like mine. Plus I feel far more comfortable and way less anxious being annoying and posting heaps on my own thread than I do spamming someone else's *nervous laugh* ^-^'

Here's a few shrines I worked on last month:
Moon Stone Shrine
Don't think I'll ever be able to do the Moon Stone event ever again because I'll never be able to get a pig so perfectly back in that spot like that ahah, worth it.
Klaus Shrine/Arena
We found every Klaus spawner and plugged them with a firepit except this one, now he only ever spawns here and we fight him on the cobble stone bit to the right. This area doubles as a shrine and a fighting arena, I love it ^-^
