I buy Don't Starve Together on Steam Sale yesterday (18.06.2018) and game work very well but today (19.06.2018) I try to play and I can't. There's notification ,,Steam must be running to play this game (SteamAPI_Init() failed.)". I try to reset my PC, reinstall game and steam, try to play game on another PC and I watched a lot of tutorials on Youtube and nothing. What can I do with that situation?

I feel some of the Gorge event dishes could possibly be add to the Cook pot. For example the cheese cake. U may be like " how we suppose to make that?" Well . The cheese cake cost us some milk I think and etc recipe item. Sorry I forgot and im to lazy to simply search it up. Anyway.  Here in the game. We already have goat and it make perfect sense to be able to milk the goat in some way. If your wondering how we suppose to fit 4 recipe reqiure item in cookpot. Makes perfect sense to have a tier 2 cookpot.

It seems there are no discussions on this forum that discuss this, i have never made a mod in DST, by the way, and i would imagine its somewhat easy to port a DS mod to DST. If there are any tutorials or something like that, please link me to it. Thanks.

This isn't a thread about what I think the future events will be like (that's a whole other discussion entirely), but more about if and how they will be implemented into the game in the future.

What I want to know is if the events will ever be permanently implemented into the game in the future. I understand Klei is considering this, but I'm wondering how it would work. Could each event be selected off the main menu, so you can play them whenever you wish, or would it be more like how it occurs from a canonical story point of view (i.e. go through the motions of reactivating the ancient gateway, play the events in order, etc.)?

The second one doesn't make a whole lot of sense. For instance, if you had a dedicated server with ten people, you'd have to boot four off to play the Forge, and three more off after that to play the Gorge.

I realize probably Klei is so busy trying to crank out all of their stuff at the moment that this is the least of their problems, and I can understand that. I just love the events, and while waiting for them makes them 100x better, I feel like it would be a shame to lose them forever after their initial runs.

Hello everyone, this is a guide that focuses on all the stuff that you can do to maximize the potential that woodie has, if you are a beginner, i would recommend you to being with default characters or top tiers, like Wilson, winona, or wickerbottom, but if you want a bit of a challenge, u can try woodie, and if you already main woodie, you can check this guide out to learn more about him and everything he can do.

Clicking to chop faster

This is something elemental that you should already know, if you click to chop a tree, ur character will chop faster because you are canceling the animation of chopping, this works even better with woodie because of lucy being able to chop faster, i only recommend to do this if you have a good connection, or if you are the host.

Lucy is a jealous axe

as woodie, you can still craft axes, but if you try to chop a tree with a different axe other than lucy, she will replace that axe and the other one will dissapear, so always pay attention on what axe ur using so you dont waste resources, its to note that this doesnt affect the pick/Axe item, so dont worry about it dissapearing if you are going to use one as woodie.

Werebeaver works as an Axe, Pickaxe, and a Hammer

when you become a werebeaver this comes in handy for a lot of situations, since u can chop, mine, and hammer down anything, doing any of this will also restore points on your log me.

Mining as werebeaver

This is really handy when you find a rock biome, you will basically have an infinite pickaxe, altough only problem would be that you wont be able to pick the rocks until you become woodie again, i recommend to before doing this to always leave 10 wood on the floor or have trees near to become woodie again

Exploring the caves as werebeaver

This is really useful and someting easy to do if you have the patience to search for the ruins, what you want to do is to go to the caves, and then you will have to leave 10 logs near the entrance to become woodie again, and then start chopping trees until you become a werebeaver, when you do this you should go and chop and eat more wood until you are up to 90 points on your log meter, this will expand the time that you will have to explore the caves/ruins, since you are a werebeaver you wont have to worry about food nor light, and sanity wont be a problem, if you see a crawling horror/terrorbeak just ignore em and keep exploring until you find what you wanted, if you start to run out of points in your log meter, just gnaw a rock and you will get a few points when you are done go back to the entrance and eat the wood you left near it and leave the caves.

Massive wood production strategy

As woodie you will always want to have at least 20 cones/nuts to regen sanity, which will help you a lot in some situations, by the start of the game you should get as many wood as you can while trying to get other resources, not just focusing on wood, by the time you establish your base you will have around 40 or more cones/Nuts which you can plant near your base to cut down when they grow, while doing so you will regen a lot of sanity, when all the trees grow, become a werebeaver and chop them all down, then become woodie again, and pick all the woods and cones, and repeat the process, its good to always have a few trees around your base when ful moon is about to being, so you can just chop em and eat some wood and you wont have to worry about the full moon

What is Don't Starve Together?
Don't Starve Together is a stand-alone multiplayer expansion to Don't Starve. This is a separate game from Don’t Starve, and you are not required to own one to play the other.

Please note that when hosting a server, you'll need to ensure that your system surpasses the system requirements listed below. Clients however, should be able to join in and play on servers as long as they meet the system requirements.

I've just downloaded the game thinking that my wife and I could play on the same computer - is this not possible?  Seems to be that the best you cna do is create an offline LAN with two computers - not really an option for me.

It would help newer players, as they discover crockpot recipes, while still not making the game any easier for the pro's that have cookie cutter food builds. It could also dispaly the stats of thet item when you eat it based on how much it restores

EG: a standard crockpot recipe gives 5 sanity, but the player has full sanity, so in the book in would be +1? sanity, but if they had low enough sanity it would just read +5, as well as dispaly any special effects the food has on the player, if any(hoping for coffee from shipwrecked).

Someone has used my DST ID to troll me in their mod, that is featured in the modmain.lua and is not what the mods actual intention is, it's actual intention is the be commands for creative play. I still can't avoid it if I don't install the mod, because of modded servers that I would like to play on. Is there anything you can do about this?(As in a question.)
