what are the redimable codes and how do i get or buy them

I need opinions

I'm planning on buying some Don't Starve Merchandise soon, and my plan so far is:

Blind Box Three Pack: Buying one figure almost guarantees you to get something you weren't aiming for, and buying sixteen Is guaranteed to get you duplicates, not even mentioning the price. I feel like three boxes is the best option.

T-shirt: I'm kinda dissapointed there isn't really much to choose from, as there's only a single shirt avaible, but i really like the design and i would totaly buy it, seeing as im running out of clothing lately too

Chester Plushie: I have two plans for him at the moment, either use him to hold inside the figures, but that would feel like a waste to not have them out presented to the world, so the other idea is to have him as a kind of extension to my shelf, having him hold some stuff for me that i might need

It seems like plan is perfect, but there are few things that bother me a lot

First of all, its the price, i live in Poland and our currency transfered to euro is almost worth nothing, and adding to it the shipping price (That already got updated before anyway), ends up with me having to pay over 600 PLN for a shirt, a plushie and three figures. It Almost makes me consider it not being worth it, but i'm still very into the idea of buying all that merch anyway.

Second problem being that others may look down upon me for that, i'm 21 years old and i live currently in a home with my parents, my 26 years old brother, grandma, uncles, aunts, cousins, overally a lot of people being all over the place, they might question what i got myself and even more they will question the price i put in it, it puts me in a very uncomfortable spot.

What would you guys advice me to do? And what is your overall opinion on all of that?

Make it so crocomanders spit can be dodged, and maybe make Webber's spiders a bit faster. Wolfgang can use a little buff as well. Otherwise really fun.

Hello forum, this is my first question, i hope im making it on the right spot and in the right way.

I just killed the fuelweaver on my world, and i expected it to drop the shadow atrium in order to be able to get a new fuelweaver after the 20 days, but it didnt dropped the shadow atrium, wich confused me very much. so my question is how do i get a new shadow atrium, or is that all? you can only reset the ruins one time? i hope not

The Forge is perhaps the first off a new adventure mode?

As the title says, let us for the first time, why do not you think that the story is so familiar that we pass through the shabby door to a place where you can sweat?
I mean, we come through a door, come to a familiar and unfamiliar place, need to complete what to leave, this is not our long-awaited multiplayer mode?
Of course, now klei did not launch The Forge's story animation, but I think, The Forge will not be the last one, we may experience more The Forge, until the throne, and then pull down to become a member of Charles, And then wait for Charlie's new clothes

Hey guys, why does Pugna have a poster of what looks like another Pugna right above his shoulder? Can't really see who it is exactly, but they both look like the same belt...

More is too much, Less is too much!

If say, I set something like Walrus camps, Killer bees, Clockworks, heck, even hound mounds, to more, it's always going to be too much. This is default of how much you get of the following:

Walrus camps: 1 - 4, if you get 4, 3 will be in one place, and the 1 in another.

Hound mounds: 10 or so, and ONLY in desert.

Tallbirds: Barely any. Minimum to my knowledge is 1 and maximum is like 5 or 6 or something if set on default.

Clockworks: Only in setpieces. On their own, you'll never find them anywhere. The clockwork set pieces are a few, possibly between 3 and 8 or something along the lines, scattered accross the world.

Now, if you set them to more. Not lots; MORE:

Walrus camps: they are liretally everywhere. One screen away from the last one! This is worse than the ones below, because you cannot remove walrus camps from the map without using the console.

Hound mounds: same thing.

Tallbirds: same thing.

Clockworks: same thing!

It's no wonder nobody ever wants to mess with the settings to set things harder for themselves. It goes from being too easy to almost impossible at the snap of fingers. What's more (or less, rather) is that there doesn't seem to be a huge difference between "Less" and "Default", not even for essential resources, which are quite common by default. So, I went with removing them from my gameplay completely in order to challenge myself. But alas, died to walrus, because I then realised I had no means of getting grass at all (which meant only dark armor, shelmet and thulecite armor would be viable for me in the long run).

The funny thing is, setting set pieces to lots makes it seem like I've set them to more instead. Can Klei please edit the amount of things that spawn in the world for the following and also in which BIOMES they spawn in? For instance, if I set my reeds to more, I don't want to have them spawn in every single biome that's there, I would just want them to be more bountiful in the swamp! In the case of hound mounds, they could simply also spawn in forest areas, which would render more of them around the place, Tallbirds in forests and savannas as well instead of eveywhere and so forth. But because of how badly things are generated in terms of settings, this is a literal impossibility.

Or, hell, may be even additional options to set which things should spawn in what biome and which should not?

Announcing Don't Starve: Hamlet, The Forge and other exciting news!

Hello everyone!

We’ve been a bit quiet about Don’t Starve in the last few months, but we’ve been hard at work. Today I’d like to announce a few new things that we’ve been working on:

Don’t Starve: Hamlet

The first thing to announce is that we’ve been working on another Don’t Starve singleplayer DLC! Wilson has found the portal to the origins of the Pigmen, and he’s off to explore their civilization. There may be some bushwhacking and tomb raiding involved, too.

Hamlet will be available in Q1/Q2 2018. More information will be shown as we get closer to launch.

You can check out the store page for screenshots and wishlist it here.

Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked Content Update
We have a little surprise for you: Shipwrecked is getting more content! We have added the following to the game as a free update.

In order to test these changes, we’ve put it into a Steam branch called “beta” with the password “shipwreckedbeta”, which is available now. Here are instructions on how to access the beta: http://support.kleientertainment.com/customer/portal/articles/2873712

Don’t Starve Together: The Forge

In addition to the singleplayer DLC, we are also announcing that we are working on a series of events for Don’t Starve Together. DST events are limited-time play modes that create a new way to play with the cast of Don’t Starve. They serve as a way to mix up the experience, allowing us to try crazy new things without breaking the core game. Events are free for everyone who owns DST to play and will be coming in November.

With the Ancient Gateway activated our survivors now find themselves trapped in a hostile world of fire and battle. They’ll need to team up to defeat the Battlemaster’s army and his champion, the Grand Forge Boarrior, if they have any hopes of returning home. Here’s what’s in store in Don’t Starve’s first event, The Forge:

  • 6-player co-op challenge, where the goal is to try and defeat the Grand Forge Boarrior in an arena. The only way to survive will be to work together.
  • New creatures and bosses with their own attack patterns.
  • New character traits for all characters, each with their own bonuses during combat.
  • New weapons, armor, items, and combat abilities to help you survive the onslaught.

combo.gif

Players who participate in the event will also be eligible to earn event specific skins. For the skin system, we are doing several changes:

  • Far more skins will drop for players than ever before (by a factor of 4x or more!)
  • There’s a new trader in town! If you get duplicates, you will be able to break them down to scrap and craft them into event items.
  • The event features event-time skin drops, including the Warrior Skin Set, putting each character in grizzled gladiator-wear.
  • In addition to the chance of receiving them as drops, players will have the option to purchase a single character’s Warrior Skin Set for $2.99, or the entire Warrior Skin Set collection for $12.99.
  • The nature of the skins themselves will not change, they are still purely cosmetic and optional. However, purchase of the Warrior Set will help us fund further content and events like this one.

We hope that with this mechanism, we can both continue creating great free content while also supporting the development team. In addition, this method of funding allows us to provide content to all our players, instead of splitting the player community if we implemented it with a DLC paywall.

This is just the first of many experiments we intend to run, and we would love your feedback! We have many ideas for events, and we would love to know what you would liketo see.

And more!
Besides events, we will also continue working on Quality of Life improvements and bug fixes.

And finally, a new challenger has arrived in Don’t Starve Together, and she is coming to all platforms and is available on Steam now!

winona_portrait-250px.png

Armed with her indomitable spirit and trusty mending tape, Winona seems to have been plucked straight off the factory line and dropped into the world of Don’t Starve for something or someone’s unfathomable amusement. There may be more to her arrival than it appears, however, as more than a few eyes will be watching the next move of the newest survivor…

Whew, that’s it! Once again, thank you for your support of our games!

F.A.Q.

When is Hamlet coming?
We estimate Q1/Q2 next year, but as always, we’ll keep working until we feel it’s ready!

Why not sell DLC for Don’t Starve Together instead of skins?
DST is a multiplayer game, and we decided that we want everyone to be able to play, instead of splitting the community. We hope that in this way, we can continue to develop updates for the game while allowing everyone to enjoy it.

When is The Forge being released?
We are aiming to release it this November.

Are the events coming to console?
The events are going to launch first on PC, but we are looking into bringing them to other platforms at a later date.

Ultimate sanity station with maximum efficiency

$
0
0

In DST, you can use Bee Queen Crown to negate sanity aura, and evil flowers are easy to mass produce and place close enough to stack the aura. As discussed previously, this is very efficient. However, those calculations are beyond what the game actually cares about. According to `components/sanity.lua`, character's aura gain/loss is calculated based on a variable `TUNING.SANITY_EFFECT_RANGE` (it is set to 10 in `tuning.lua`); only entities within this range will contribute to aura calculation. Therefore, making a sanity station beyond this radius merely serves aesthetic purposes, or to provide larger center point for maximum sanity gain for multiple players to snuggle up in the center.

 local aura_delta = 0
    local x, y, z = self.inst.Transform:GetWorldPosition()
    local ents = TheSim:FindEntities(x, y, z, TUNING.SANITY_EFFECT_RANGE, nil, { "FX", "NOCLICK", "DECOR","INLIMBO" })
    for i, v in ipairs(ents) do
        if v.components.sanityaura ~= nil and v ~= self.inst then
            local aura_val = v.components.sanityaura:GetAura(self.inst) / math.max(1, self.inst:GetDistanceSqToInst(v))
            aura_delta = aura_delta + (aura_val < 0 and (self.neg_aura_absorb > 0 and self.neg_aura_absorb * -aura_val or aura_val) * self.neg_aura_mult or aura_val)
        end
    end

Why can't torch Night Light?

Looking at Night Light's prefab code, it seems to be burnable, but the mouse right click button to torch it when wielding a torch is not available. Is that intended, or a bug?

Where do I find the IP Address for DST Servers?

Hello there.

Just wanted to know if there's any way I can access the ip addresses for the DST's servers, I would like to run some experiments in connection since the ping that is shown to me in each server does not determine exactly how much LAG I will have during the match/game. Thanks.
