This is my first post so it could fail horribly or be posted in the wrong place - but here it is:
I've had 2 ideas for new content related to bees, and drew them because why not. It's my first time making a (bad) attempt at drawing in Klei style.
Both could spawn in the Grassland Biome, or in a new, separate biome.
The First one https://imgur.com/a/Wryng is a shadow creature that would disguise itself as a beehive (with more holes and scratch marks), that would only come out at night or if attacked. If attacked, it would stand up, run for a bit in the opposite direction of the player, and when far away enough, hide again. It should have a pretty big health pool but not too much, think tallbird or somewhere around there. In the night, however, it would get up and wander around in random directions, but not leave too far from its spawnpoint. It would be hostile and attack any player on sight. When dead, it could drop honey, nightmare fuel, monster meat, and maybe a few live bees(?)
The Second one https://imgur.com/a/NUMjY is a new type of beehive that is based off of real life giant hives that infest abandoned houses. They would house more bees and killer bees that normal beehives do, have more HP, drop more loot, and perhaps spawn in groups of 3/4 in Grassland or a new biome. Maybe, inspired by real life cases, they wouldnt spawn when the world is created, instead, like penguin nests, have the bees migrate and make the giant hives where the player has been, but instead of in winter, in summer. Another idea was so that they have a layer of sticky honey around them making the player walk slowly, much like spider dens do, and identical to the honey dropped by the bee queen.
These idea might not be game changing, the art might not be that good, and this post might be deleted for me doing something wrong but anyways, what do you think?
