[Fan Concept] Amphibia x Don't Starve Together – "Heart of Amphibia" Skill System & Temple Trials
Hey fellow DST fans!
I’d love to share an idea I’ve been working on — a fan-made crossover concept between Don't Starve Together and Disney's Amphibia. This concept blends survival, adventure, and RPG mechanics into a magical gem system, featuring a temple quest, transformations, and a fully-upgradable skill tree. If you're into both DST and Amphibia, you might really enjoy this!
Key Item: Heart of Amphibia
At the start of the game, players receive a magical item:
The Heart of Amphibia – a glowing tricolored gem (inspired by Anne's gem from the show).
-
Useable multiple times
-
Cooldown: 5 minutes between uses
-
After repeated use, unlocks a skill tree system with three unique paths
Temple Quest: The Trials of Amphibia
Once used 3 times, the Heart dims and gives a message:
“Its power still lingers… You must prove yourself worthy once more.”
This unlocks a hidden Amphibia Temple location somewhere on the map (randomly generated). Inside, players face 3 sequential trials:
-
Trial of Wisdom – Puzzles, patterns, and smart decisions
-
Trial of Endurance – Obstacle navigation, traps, and timed pressure
-
Trial of Heart – Fight your shadow-self in an epic mirror match
Completing the temple recharges the Heart, giving new effects and unlocking the skill tree!
Heart Skill Tree (Choose Your Path)
Path | Focus | Pros | Cons |
---|---|---|---|
Amphibian Soul | Transformation-based | Fast cooldown, movement speed, stack uses, unlocks "Frog Form" | Lower power |
Mystic Core | Offensive magic power | High damage, AoE, crowd control | Long cooldown |
Harmony | Balanced playstyle | Medium cooldown/power, chance to refresh CD, hybrid bonuses | No max on either side |
Extra Perks:
-
The gem glows brighter with each level
-
A small UI appears showing cooldown timer
-
Pulse effects vary depending on path chosen
Gameplay Potential
-
Adds dynamic late-game strategy
-
Encourages map exploration (temple!)
-
Introduces replayability with different builds
-
Themed visually like Amphibia: bioluminescent plants, frogs, ruins

Final Words
This concept was dreamed up by a fan who hopes that one day Amphibia could live on — maybe through a mod, or an official collab event.
I’d love to hear feedback, ideas, or even team up with someone who knows how to mod in DST!
Created with love by Arm, 14 years old, passionate Amphibia fan.
