I have been working on a macro for DST. I think it would help me with combat in the game, as well as provide a nice quality of life to my experience with the game. The Macro is simple in function. When I hit a button on my mouse, it will activate and show a little cursor over the first item slot in the inventory. If turn the scroll wheel up or down, it will scroll through the inventory slots without selecting the item it is on. Once I hit the middle mouse button, it will use the respective keyboard assignment to select the item. I have been grappling with using this though... I know that Item swapping is a thing in DST, but I am using an external program for this macro. That is the part that I think people are going to get mad at me for, because the program is my own code in C++ in an application called "Autohotkey". Keep in mind that all this program does is allow me to swap items EASIER, NOT necessarily faster. I will admit that the console version of DST has this feature, but I would rather not use a controller to achieve this, because of the lack of a mouse cursor. I would appreciate any sort of constructive advice on this topic.
