Before the new wilson short, the throne in wilson/wagstaff’s house was foreshadowing for Wilson’s eventual claim of the nightmare throne (probably). However, now that we know that this throne’s original owner was wagstaff, it now has a new meaning. Is the throne’s inclusion in the new short just a reference to the original, or does it imply that wagstaff will eventually claim a magical throne of his own? Maybe he already has. Considering all of the other parallels between wagstaff and Wilson (they are foils, after all) I think it’s pretty likely that the throne is intentional.
