Hey everyone! I noticed that there's a buttload of new memes and no place to put them. Post them here for people to see (and so we can stop clogging up the puzzle thread). Enjoy!
Edit: Also, the memes don't have to be Maxwell themed. All characters are welcome. This is merely a sequel of a previous meme thread.
Hello peeps,
I just saw a Netflix ad where it shows DST as Netflix game.
Does someome knows if this game is cross play with steam or (I doubt) psn or xbox? Or just Netflix players?
It is a up to date build?
I'm not sure if this has even posted here on forums so forgive me if it has been already asked.
Thanks
I'm a player who wants to focus on beefalos, which is why I chose this character. If you have any tips for using Wigfrid with beefalos, feel free to recommend them.
We've currently got vignettes of title screens up to host of horrors, so I'm just going to post frames from shorts that I'd love to see as vignettes.
Swine & Dine:
Falling:
Scrappy Scavengers:
Projector:
Staying Afloat:
Hide & Seek (PLEASE don't make me wait a year for vignettes from this short):
Depths of Duplicity:
We've had a pretty great batch of shorts in the last year, that I really don't want to have to wait long to see implemented in game.
Hey everyone, thanks for your patience. We have heard the requests from the community and are happy to announce that the Klei Art Streams are coming back to the official Klei Twitch.tv channel on a bi-monthly basis!
Our first art stream is going to happen this Wednesday, September 25th, at 3:30pm (Pacific Time), and our host, Jesse "The Drawbarian" will be drawing Don't Starve Together's Great Depths Worm.
Be sure to click the follow button on the Klei Twitch channel to get alerted whenever we go live: https://www.twitch.tv/kleientertainment
See you then!
Of course not, the video shows that it only improves quality of life by not having to reheat the stone every 3 minutes, but every ~ 2.5 days in game and at the cost of having to repair the clothes due to continuous use.
You have to wait a year of gameplay to defeat the boss and gain access to Hibearnation Vest.
And what is the logic behind not being able to wear clothes with a backpack?
Ever thought to yourself, "I like/dislike this thing but i dont think anyone else will agree..." put it here!
Do not be judgemental of other peoples opinions here please. I would like this topic to remain a safe space for everyone.
Since most bosses are based on its mob counterpart (ex. pig -> nightmare werepig, bee -> queen bee, rabbit -> wrathful rabbit), I thought it would be fun to speculate some of mobs that could potentially be turned into a boss. Here are some ideas:
1. Monkey -> Moon Quay Island Boss: A boss encounter triggered by interacting with an unnatural portal
2. Tallbird -> Mutated Tallbird Variant: Tallbird variant that have small chance to mutate from teen tallbird. Not really a boss but might be interesting to have a mutation in DST!
3. Lureplant -> Lureplant Boss: Feeding it pure brilliance could trigger a transformation, but it would require restrictions, like only allowing it to turn into a boss on certain terrain.
4. Bird -> Skyborne Boss: A boss summoned by crafting a special item from feathers
5. Catcoon -> Deciduous Forest Hunt: A boss triggered by hunting a suspicious dirt pile in the deciduous forest
6. Ghost -> Graveyard Boss: Summoned on full moon at graveyard with lunar rift open. Boss can only be encountered when certain conditions are met
Would love to hear other people's ideas too!
Most of my DST friends have all quit playing for a while now. Is this the case for anyone else? Nowadays I just play on a solo world. I tried to play the beta but very few people have servers in the beta.
Feels like DST is in a slump in terms of updates and long time fans arent as excited for beta/updates anymore. Guess that is the life cycle for every game.
Weapon idea for W.A.R.B.I.S set crafted from 8 scrap, 3 doodads, enlightened shard and spark ark.
Deals 37,5 normal dmg, 5 planar and apply sparkling effect (damage over time). 200 uses when attacking, 600 when chopping 33% less hits per tree.
Has 4 tiers, each increasing attack speed and sparkling effect.
tier 1 10% attack speed increase and applies sparkling effect for 3s 1 dmg per s
tier 2 20% attack speed increase and applies sparkling effect for 6s 2 dmg per s
tier 3 30% attack speed increase and applies sparkling effect for 9s 3 dmg per s
tier 4 40% attack speed increase and applies sparkling effect for 12s 4 dmg per s
Is this weapon too good or underpowered?
My primary language for talking about this game is criticism. I'm a very critical person, it's just kind of how my brain works. I pick apart what I like from something by picking apart what I dislike from it. The majority of my posts talking about Don't Starve Together over the recent years have been almost entirely criticism of various aspects.
However, I just want to take the time to say that I love this update. A lot. I'm trying to stop myself from calling it genius, but it isn't easy.
The commitment to continue to adjust values and balance the mechanics introduced throughout and even after the beta was nice to see. While some things still didn't feel as complete as I would've personally envisioned them, I think pretty much all of the work established by this update has been astounding. The atrium tentapillar getting a facelift out of nowhere for example had me cheering, I'm loving seeing changes like these!
The trailer! I love the trailer! It felt like it went back more to the roots of the aesthetics I personally really liked about them.
Also very clever to add 2 snake-like enemies before Year of the Snake would've taken you by surprise...
I know my posts and thoughts aren't really that important in the grand scheme of things, but... On the off chance they were/are to someone there (as a suspicious amount of things I suggest end up getting added in some way...) I wanted to make this thread.
Like I said, I mainly criticize things. It's how I am in all parts of life. I "praise" things normally by not criticizing them. So for me, it's very easy to be silent when things are going well because I just... don't really talk about things I like directly. It's just not "me".
But with this, I wanted to change that. I wanted it to be known that I actually, truly, really do like this update. I think it's genuinely fantastic. So much so that I don't want to be silent this time.
So, from someone who complains about your game constantly,
Thanks.
and that skin of the fatass crow with the lil party hat? Damn!!!!!!
I imagine you wouldn’t be swimming, it would be like SpongeBob where they just walk around in the ocean floor.
If you do like the idea what would you put in it?
Is there a way to see in the log history who put down certain turf or dug some up in a certain area?
We had someone come into our server and turf out a hate symbol and I'd like to find out who it was so I can ban them and report them to klei.
For Sunken Chests add to the loot table Anenemies,Tree Jam, Sea Sprout Starter and add rare drop Rock Staff which will summon boulder from sky dealing chunky dmg and it will become sea stack when used on ocean. Also it would almost instantly destroy the boat so it would be good for dealing with monkey pirates with good timing, has 50 uses. And remove junk like spoiled fish, compass, lures, floats and sea fishing rod.
For Ocean Debris add items that sunk, flint, gold, Anenemies and Sea Sprout Starter to the loot table, they now spawn in cluster of 2-5, increase chance for Bull Kelp Stalk and add to the loot table very rare Ocean Talisman which will let you walk on ocean (if you attack, mine or pick something you loses 2% of durability ) and gives you 25% speed boost for 8 minutes.
If you have any suggestions write below.
If there's sometimes 5 players fighting one boss it gets absolutely annihilated and then everyone jumps to the loot like if it was popped pińata but with just two candies inside.
Could bosses get more health and/or become stronger against groups in some more creative way the more players fight them so fights don't last just 30 seconds and can everyone participating count on rewards?
Pretty much just like terraria's rewards.
If you know mod(s) you can recommend me that do that pretty please send link I searched but some are not that configurable or do the thing but insignificantly.
This is probably a bad idea but I randomly though about an interaction Woodie could have while on the lunar island when fully enlightened. If a gestalts hit you you have a random chance to be turned into your were-forms and a higher chance if you are hit immediately afterwards instead of falling asleep. If you are hit again while already in one of your were-forms you will have a higher random chance of switching to another form, each switch resets your were-meter. Having the lunar renegade affinity skill negates this effect completely.
Some buffs and suggestions for Ocean.
Cookie Cutter Cap should deal 25 thorn dmg.
Strident Trident should deal 102 ocean dmg and 150 spell dmg.
Seedshell should deal 68 dmg and stack 40.
Add late game upgrade for Deck Illuminator that makes it infinite and increases light radius.
Make Fire Pump fireproof, increase accuracy, increase shooting speed and change recipe to use cut stone.
Add better Steering Wheel which is faster.
Add 5-10 days cooldown to Pirate Raids.
Add Nightberry dish.
Add Ancient Speed Boost Tree (works the same as other ancient trees only grows in autumn produces 3 Speedy Fruits which give 20% speed boost for 4 minutes and you can use them to cook new dish in crock pot speedy pie which gives you 30% speed boost for 12 minutes using speedy fruit, pomegranate and royal jelly, Wigfrid can't eat them).
If you have any suggestions write below.
First of all, huge fan of the Icker Preserve. IMO, it's the best surprise this patch. I've been wanting something like this ever since I first proposed the "time freeze" box idea. One request, though, can we preserve small animals and hambats inside it, too? By the point in the game where you are able to craft it, these extra perks should have minimal survivability benefit, and would be more just QoL. I especially want to be able to preserve birds, since having them die when you're away from your base for a season is a pretty poor experience.
